Bright Birthday Card Using Altenew Ornamental Flower

Finally I got a bit of time to update my blog…thank you all for your patience….especially my crafty friends who got concerned for me…let me assure you that all is well and I just got too busy for a bit….even though I am still making cards, I just couldn’t find the time to update my blog for the past few weeks…so today I’m sharing a birthday card with bright flowers and a soft background that I have made using the Distress blending brushes….

I started by applying wilted violet and squeezed lemonade Distress Inks with the blending brushes on a piece of white smooth cardstock….I splattered some water for effect and once dry, I adhered it to a plain white card base…
Next, I stamped the beautiful ornamental flowers and leaves layering stamps on a separate piece of white cardstock using Altenew crisp inks…for the leaves I used sweet leaf, just green, hunter green and evergreen and for the flowers I used sunkissed, orange cream, firebrick, autumn blaze, citrus burst, maple yellow and honey drizzle shades of inks…

I die cut the flowers and the leaves using coordinating dies and once I was happy with the arrangement,I adhered them to the card front..I then stamped the sentiment on a white strip using deep iris dye ink and added a layer of purple glitter strip behind it before adhering it to my card as well… and finally to embellish my card I have added a few jewels..
