Unicorns And Hedgehogs Birthday Slimline Cards

After making a couple of tall slimline cards, I decided to make long/landscape ones…for the cards I’m sharing today, I pulled out a couple of my favourite sets from MFT stamps..

For my first card I choset the MFT Magical Unicorns stamp set and stamped all the images, coloured them with alcohol markers and set them aside…I then placed the MFT Starry Sky stencil on the front panel of my card and applied some iridescent Gina K Glitz glitter gel and let it dry for a few minutes…

I die cut the clouds using Mama Elephant Slimline Card Basics and applied some salty Ocean Oxide ink on the edges before adhering them to the front panel…I also added a rainbow behind the clouds which I die cut using MFT Rainbow Whimsy die and coloured in with alcohol markers…

I added all the unicorns to the card front and added a die cut stitched frame as well…the sentiment is from MFT Label Maker Sentiments stamp set and has been heat embossed using Ranger magenta embossing powder…

I chose the MFT Happy Hedgehogs stamp set for my second card…once all the images were stamped, coloured in and die cut – I started on the ink blending for my background panel…I used the following Oxide inks – Fossilized Amber, Mustard Seed and Ripe Persimmon..

Using a couple of shades of green cardstock, I die cut and added the ‘ground’ where all my hedgehogs would be sitting….after adding the hedgehogs, I added some mushrooms and foliage to the scene…the foliage is from MFT Beautiful Blooms stamp set….

I stamped the sentiment from MFT Make A Wish stamp set directly on the front panel and added some black Nuvo Drops to embellish it..

Thanks heaps for taking the time to view today’s blog post…hope you will have a happy and blessed day ahead!!
