Most of my projects start with a plan….a few rare ones turn out exactly as planned…the rest usually surprise me….and I’m sure this happens with most crafters….but it’s fun…a lot of fun…
For this card I was going to repeat a die pattern using Lawn Fawn Stitched Border Dies and create a repeated faux stitching background on various coloured sections/panels on the front of the card…but as soon as I ran the first section through my Cuttlebug…the die had slipped and the stitch pattern was at an angle…so instead of wasting time to re-cut another strip and start again…I simply used the cross stitch pattern die in an angle as well…
Then I threaded a few silver sequins on a silver thread and wrapped it around the the top panel…once the background was ready,I attached a silver and an orange strip on the side and attached this layer to the card base…
I finished the card by stamping b-day word and adding a silver glitter die cut word happy above it…
Hope you liked this card…

Gift bags are so much fun to make and quite uncomplicated too….they can be simple or quite heavily decorated…whatever you like…if you need inspiration then Pinterest is the best place for you…
To create this gift bag I used a sheet of scrapbooking paper…and mainly kept it simple…other than using a scalloped border punch for the flap…which I sponged with brown ink as well…a ribbon tied up into a bow at the front keeps the bag closed….it also makes the bag easy to open…
I stamped the sentiment and punched it out using an oval punch and another larger one to layer it…also added a few punched out flowers…
I hope you like this bag…

Post#104 – Thank You So Much Tag

A few days back I tried out the gold glitter splatter technique on a card(Post#97) and decided to try it out again on a tag….
This tag has two 2″ wide layers and the tops were created by punching with a tag topper punch…..for the base tag I simply rounded the corners and for the top tag I kept the length about half of the base tag and punched using a banner punch…from the left over section I die cut another small banner…
Once the bases were ready I added the glitter and let that dry…Later I stamped the top layer and added the small die cut banner on the bottom layer with a heart stamped on it…In the end I added the ribbon…
Hope you liked this tag…

Today I’m sharing another card with a background created by stamping the same image repeatedly…and I love this paisley stamp…
Instead of a bright red ink I decided to use a deep red shade called Rhubarb Stalk…only one of the image is stamped in gold ink…then I added a strip of gold cardstock with ‘Happy Anniversary’ stamped on it…and rounded only two corners of the card and the top layer…
Hope you liked it…

Post#102 – Self Closing Angled Box

I am a big fan of boxes and bags which don’t need a fiddly attachment in order to close and open them…..so when I saw this tutorial for a self closing box by Dawn Griffith…I had to try it out…
At first I thought that with all these angles it must be a bit tricky but I was surprised at how very easy it is to make this box…and you can make 2 boxes from a sheet of 12″ x 12″ cardstock…
The excellent video tutorial and measurements for this box can be found here – Self Closing Box by Dawn
I kept the decorations simple and just added two banners and stamped on the top one and added a butterfly punch..
Hope you liked this box….I also hope you will try this one out….

Post#101 – Love You Polaroid Card

I wanted to make a card with a lot of colours in it but at the same time I wanted those colours to not take too much space on the card so it doesn’t look too full…
So I started with a plain white cardstock for the card base….then I die cut two small polaroid frames from aqua and pink cardstock…I attached a printed yellow and white grid print paper for the aqua frame and added a red punched heart and you word on it….For the pink frame I simply used a white watercolour paper and coloured it in with peerless watercolors…
I attached both the polaroid frames to the card and added a few sequins here and there as well…
Hope you like this card….

Today I’m sharing a gift pouch made from Kraft Cardstock…making the pouch was not a big task…so to give it a bit of a nice look I tried the partial die cut technique on the pouch flap…
Once I cut out two pieces of Kraft paper for the pouch and the top decorative layer , I stamped the top layer with blue ink using a border stamp….I then used two consecutive sizes of Ornate Frame nesting dies to partially die cut the shape for the flap of the pouch….I then sponged both these pieces with the same blue ink…
Once the pouch was ready,I made a band for closing it and attached a smaller die cut from the same die set and stamped on it…
Hope you liked this pouch…
And thankyou so much for visiting my blog…It’s my 100th post today… 🙂

Today I’m sharing a card with no layers at all….sometimes adding layers complicates a simple beautiful design and doesn’t necessarily add much…
For this card I started by stamping a large swirly image using a brown pigment ink and then added clear embossing powder to heat emboss it….this would now resist the distress inks I used for the background…I started with a lighter shade of yellow and added the darker shade on the edges of the card…
I stamped the sentiment near the base of the card and added a few tiny rhinestones as well…
Hope you liked this card…

While searching for projects and things to make with the Tag Topper Punch, an image of these really cute boxes came up but the link took me to the tutorial in a language I couldn’t understand much…..Thanks Google Translate, I was able to make these tiny goody gift boxes easily….
Here’s the link for the great photo tutorial By Nadine Koller – LINK
I used a light blue printed paper to make these boxes…and then decorated them with a a few punched out pieces and Kaisercraft Collectables die cuts…I added a banner with a sentiment as well..
To close the boxes at the top I simply used a brown string and tied a bow…
Hope you liked these…
