Tulip Field Cards

The two cards I’m sharing today use the Hero Arts Tulip Field Heroscape Stamp and Die set…hmmm so what do I like about this set..??Everything I guess…I was so excited as the layers were super easy to position and the results were amazing..!!

I started by creating the backgrounds on the front panels of my cards…for the first one I used a circle stencil to create a setting sun kind of background and for the second card I used the sun stencil to print the sun at the top right corner of the panel…

On a separate piece of white cardstock I stamped the layering poppy fields and other element stamps using Altenew crisp dye inks…I die cut them using the coordinating dies and adhered them to my card front…And finally, I stamped the sentiment on both cards using black ink..

Thank you for your visit to my blog today…Hope you will have a blessed and happy day!

Thank You Card For Altenew March Inspiration Challenge

This months inspiration challenge at the Altenew Blog was actually a big challenge for me….I tend to automatically reach for bright colours and combos so had to think hard to come up with a card design using the pastel shades from the inspiration picture..

I first created the background panel using the Altenew cube builder stencil and Wisteria and Iceberg crisp dye inks…on a separate piece of cardstock, I stamped the leaves and flower clusters using Firefly crisp ink…the stamps are from Focus On You and A Study In Watercolor stamp sets…

I stamped the sentiment on a couple of white strips ad adhered them to my card..I also added a few clear sequins to embellish my card..

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today…Have a happy and wonderful day ahead..!!

Leafy Birthday Cards

I am sharing two cards that I have made with the Altenew Leaf Canopy stamp and die set….In my first card I have tried out a light wash of the Altenew watercolours for the background and for my second card, I have used the fadeout inkpad by ink on 3 to try out a no line colouring effect…need to practice a bit more with this inkpad but I think it’s a good start…

Hello friends…hope you all have been well and have had  a good start to 2019…I have been trying my best to update my blog but unable to do so for a while now due to time constraints…to make things easy on myself, from now on I plan to only share the pictures of my cards and details about the products I have used in each one…this is the only way I can keep sharing my cards at the moment…

The first card I’m sharing uses  the following Altenew products – Geo Frames stamp and dies, Floral elements stamps and dies, Crisp dye inks, Rose gold embossing powder,  and black cardstock

Here is another picture of the same card..

My second card uses the following Altenew products – Leaf Canopy stamp and dies, Crisp dye inks – sea breeze & parrot, Watercolours for the background panel – ocean waves and persian blue, and the Birthday Builder stamp set.The background is a watercolour cardstock cut to size for the front panel.

I have also used some adhesive foam under one of the leaf die cut for a bit of dimension and added some rhinestones to embellish my card..

Diwali Cards Using Altenew Candle Light Stamp Set

Today I’m sharing 3 Diwali cards….Diwali is on the 7th of November this year and if you didn’t know already, it is the biggest Hindu festival – also known as the festival of lights…and I was so happy when Altenew came up with the most versatile stamp set called Candle Light which has images of some layering candles, tealights and an earthen lamp as well as some really wonderful sentiments..I had been waiting for a set like this for quite sometime now..

For all my cards, I stamped the layering stamp for the lamp and the flame on a piece of white cardstock using Altenew crisp inks…for the lamp I have used mocha, sand dunes, rocky shore, and limestone shade and for the flames I have used citrus burst, fresh lemon and autumn blaze….I have die cut these with the coordinating dies and in a couple of the die cuts had to trim off a small section for the flame…

My first card was inspired by Jennfer Rzasa and I kept is fairly simple as I wanted to see if these lamps would look okay with the flame on one side…and I think it does…well, I started by creating the front panel of my card by first stamping the small mandala pattern using wild honey oxide ink and heat embossed it with some clear embossing powder…I then applied various Distress Inks on this panel – squeezed lemonade, mustard seed and dried marigold…I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment and then adhered this panel to the card base…I added the die cut lamp and embellished my card with some plain gold confetti sequins..

For my second card, I have used a square stencil to create the focal point in the background..I used the following Distress inks for that – blueprint sketch, salty ocean and tumbled glass…I then stamped and heat embossed the sentiment before adhering the front panel to the card base…I used adhesive foam squared to attach the lamp and then added a few tiny gold star sequins as embellishments..

Now my third card wasn’t planned but it is my favourite…and it looks much better than it does in the pictures…I dry embossed a frosted gold cardstock piece using a paisley embossing folder and the adhered it to a plain white card base…then I stamped and white heat embossed the sentiment on an orange panel and adhered it to the card front and then adhered the lamp die cut…and finally to decorate this card I have used a few orange rhinestones..
Here are a few more pictures of my cards…

From All Of Us

I really loved the layering stamp sets by Clearly Besotted I have used so far, so I got another one…this one is called Pure Poppies…very easy to layer and such great results as well…I also used a rectangle die to add a bit of texture and pattern to the background…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I started by die cutting the black cardstock for the background panel and adhered it to the card base….I then added a smaller stitched rectangle to the card front which has been die cut from gold glitter cardstock …

On a separate piece of white cardstock, I stamped the poppy and leaf images and die cut them using the coordinating dies…I have used the following shades of Altenew crisp inks for stamping the flowers- heartbeat, rouge &coral bliss and for the leaves I have used just green and parrot….

I adhered these pieces to the card and then white heat embossed the sentiment on a small black die cut label and used some adhesive foam to add a bit of dimension…and finally I added a few white Nuvo drops to embellish my card..

Next, I stamped the beautiful ornamental flowers and leaves layering stamps on a separate piece of white cardstock using Altenew crisp inks…for the leaves I used sweet leaf, just green, hunter green and evergreen and for the flowers I used sunkissed, orange cream, firebrick, autumn blaze, citrus burst, maple yellow and honey drizzle shades of inks…

I die cut the flowers and the leaves using coordinating dies and once I was happy with the arrangement,I adhered them to the card front..I then stamped the sentiment on a white strip using deep iris dye ink and added a layer of purple glitter strip behind it before adhering it to my card as well… and finally to embellish my card I have added a few jewels..

Let’s Celebrate You

I am sharing a tall card today…it is 3 1/4 ” x 6 1/2″ and is just perfect for the main feature which is a stem of beautiful Orchid flowers…and to make the flowers ‘pop’ on my card, I have added a layer of thick vellum paper on which I have blended some Distress Ink for a soft look background…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

Once my card base was ready, I cut a piece of thick vellum paper slightly smaller than the card front and then applied some peacock feather Distress Ink on it…I also sprinkled some water for effect…
Next, I used Altenew crisp dye inks to stamp the Clearly Besotted orchid oasis layering stamp on a piece of white cardstock…for the flowers I have used sand dunes  and velvet shades of ink, bamboo and olive for the leaves  and mocha shade of ink for the branch…I die cut these images using the coordinating dies and then adhered them to the vellum panel…

On a white label, I stamped the sentiment and adhered it to the vellum panel as well….I hid the adhesive behind the die cut images and the sentiment label at back of the panel to adhere it to the card front…I also added a few sparkling clear sequins to embellish my card…
