Many Thanks Card

I’m very excited to share this card today….it didn’t take long to create it and I am pretty happy with the result myself….
I started with a light green card base and a plain white top layer…the coloured panel on top is actually a piece of white cardstock which is a left over from die cutting or a negative as some people call it…and I have simply coloured it in using various shades of green and yellow distress inks…I then cut a piece of vellum same size as the panel and adhered them both onto the white top layer…I have wrapped some silver string across the top layer before adhering it to the card base…
The sentiment is stamped and silver heat embossed on a small white banner and I have layered it with a larger green banner…before attaching the banner onto the card,I die cut two leaves from silver foil cardstock and glued them to the card…
I have used just a few silver rhinestones as embellishments…

You & Me Card

Doesn’t it feel great when you plan out a project and it turns out exactly as you had planned..??It happens to a lot of crafters but my projects don’t necessarily follow my plans…at all..ha ha…but this one surprisingly did…
I started with a silver cardstock base and cut watercolour paper to size before colouring it in with Peacock Feather distress ink…the edges are a bit darker than the center but the photo doesn’t show it that well…
I then used silver foil cardstock to die cut a fancy flourish and placed it on the top layer…then I die cut two hearts from vellum and coloured them in with a light marker and used a white gelly roll pen to create a stitched effect on the edges and placed them above the flourish…
On a silver banner,I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and then heat embossed with red embossing powder before placing it above the two vellum hearts…
Finally I decorated the card with small hearts that were die cut from red glitter cardstock using the confetti die by Mama Elephant…
Thanks for stopping by to take a look at my card….Have a lovely & blessed day ahead…!!

Simple Birthday Card

I like outline stamps…and while they are great for colouring in with watercolours, markers or pencils….they are also great as is….especially when you want to create something simple…
While I did want to create a simple card,I also wanted to use colours…so I have used various colours of dye inks to stamp the flowers from my Altenew Peony Scroll stamp set on a white top layer for this card….once the flowers were stamped,I have again used different shades of green and brown inks to fill in the spaces with the leaf stamps in the set…
The background was ready,so I adhered it to the plain purple card base….I have stamped the sentiment on a small purple banner using white heat embossing powder…and I have just used 3 sequins to decorate the card…
Have a happy & blessed day ahead….Happy crafting…!!

Hip Hip Hooray Card

For today’s card I decided to create a bright scene using my new hot air balloon die….I have also tried paper tearing technique for the top layer of this card…I was a bit unsure at first but still wanted to try…and here’s the result….
The card base is a plain bright red and top layer has been created by using distress inks…then I tore a bit of paper from all four sides and sponged the edges before placing the top layer onto the card…
I die cut the hot air balloon, first with the orange foil card stock and then again with a spotty printed paper and combined the two before placing onto the top layer….I also die cut a few clouds for the card…
The sentiment is stamped on a red banner and I have used a few rhinestones to decorate the card…

Thinking Of You Card

So I pulled out black cardstock yet again and decided to make a simple card with it….I think the yellow looks vibrant with the black card base….
There is not much to this card…I started with a black cardstock card base….the top layer is made from watercolour paper which has been washed with yellow watercolour….once that was dry,I stamped the foliage stamps using Versamark ink and heat embossed all the images with white embossing powder…
The sentiment is stamped on a black banner using white pigment ink and I have used gold cardstock to die cut a few sequins to decorate the card…
Hope you’ll have a wonderful and crafty day ahead…Happy crafting…

Thank You For Your Friendship Card

Today I’m sharing a simple card which seems like it was created in minutes…but actually took me a few days to finish…I was totally out of ideas once I got the background ready…
The card base in plain pink and the background layer is made by distress inks and simple paper masking….the top layer is made from vellum paper and is slightly smaller than the background layer….I have used a pink gel ink pen to draw the stitch lines on it…
Then I die cut a flourish embellishment from gold foil cardstock and placed it on the center of the card…and placed the gold embossed sentiment banner above it…
I have decorated the card with colourful rhinestones which also help hide the glue dots that help to adhere the vellum layer onto the card…
Thanks for stopping by to take a look…Happy crafting…

Cards Box Set – Tea or Coffee?

A set of handmade cards is a great idea for a present….especially for someone who likes sending small notes or cards to people often….store bought cards are easily available but they are mass produced and not unique in any way…
Today I’m sharing a box set of four 4″x 4″ cards and I have made envelopes and the box for them as well…The box has been created using the WRMK 123 Punch Board(or the envelope punch board)…the cardstock was cut to 8″ x 8″ and then punched and scored at 3&1/2″ and 4&1/2″ on all four sides…

I have used Kraft cardstock for the card bases for all four cards…then there is a mat layer of black…the top layer is white on which I have directly stamped the tea/coffee cup images as well as the sentiment…

I have coloured in the images using water colour pencils and an aqua brush….

Butterfly & Roses Birthday Wishes

I got my box of embossing folders out today to quickly make a simple card with an embossed top layer…
The card base is pink and the top layer is white which has been embossed using the Kaisercraft Roses embossing folder…I wanted the roses to be the main focus of this card so I decided to ‘smoosh’ some pink ink directly from the inkpad onto the embossed paper….this way only the embossed part catches the ink and the debossed area stays white…
I adhered the top layer right at the edge of two sides of the card base and then placed two die cut butterflies as well as a banner for the sentiment…
Hope you liked this card…

Watercolour Stamping Birthday Card

I love watching tutorials for craft/stamping techniques…and I get very excited when sometimes(just sometimes)my results are pretty close to the tutorial I was following to create my project…I try my very best not to ‘copy’ something as is….where’s the fun in that….
The card that I’m sharing today has been made by following a tutorial by Dawn on the Wplus9 Blog called Watercolor Stamping With Hand Doodling…Now I did skip the doodling part as I’m not very good at drawing of any sort….luckily I had the outline stamp for the stamp set I used and I didn’t have to doodle.. 🙂
I have created this card using the Stampin Up Balloon Celebration Stamp set as well as the coordinating punch to create masks easily…
In short, the technique is about using a solid stamp and dabbing a bit of distress ink on it and very little water to spread it around and then quickly stamping it onto the watercolor cardstock…Dawn used a black pen to doodle around and finish the images while I simply used stamps….
For the sentiment,I die cut the ‘Happy’ word from black glitter cardstock and created a banner to stamp the word ‘Birthday’ on it….and the card was ready….
Hope you liked this card….thanks for stopping by today…
