Father’s Day Funny Card

It’s Father’s Day in Australia tomorrow…hope you’ve got a card and socks all wrapped up for your dad by now..ha ha…my dad meditates and also has a great sense of humour, so this year I thought to make a kind of funny card for him…and I’m sure my daughters must have got their cards ready for my hubby as well…I don’t know if they made funny cards too..I don’t get to see them in advance anymore..!!

I started by creating the background on a white front panel…I used a stencil and Distress Inks for it…the ink shades I used are squeezed lemonade, wild hone and spiced marmalade…I then added an orange foil cardstock frame and adhered this panel to a bright yellow card base ..
On a separate piece of white cardstock,I stamped the meditating monkey image from Katzelkraft Jungle Animals stamp set and coloured it in before cutting it out and placing it onto the card front using some adhesive foam…

I die cut the word ‘Happy’ from green glitter cardstock and layered it with a die cut from white craft foam before adhering it to the card…I stamped the rest of the sentiment on a strip of white cardstock and used foam squares to adhere it to the card as well…
To embellish my card I have simple added a few orange marmalade Nuvo Jewel Drops…

Stars Birthday Card

Today I’m sharing another card that I tried out for a birthday boy/guy…it has no flowers,no embellishments and no cute things on it….takes a while to form an idea but I’m glad I am able to make one or two cards every now and then for boys too….

The card base is made from silver cardstock(looks grey but it isn’t)…then on a separate large piece of silver cardstock,I started adhering die cut stitched star frames to make a background for the card…I have used blue, orange and purple foil cardstock for these die cuts…
Once the background was ready,I used a large stitched rectangle die to cut out the front panel for the card…I adhered this panel straight onto the card front…I stamped the sentiment on a small rectangle that I had die cut from orange foil cardstock and then layered it with a larger silver rectangle and placed these onto the card using foam squares…
Thank you so much for visiting my blog…hope you liked the card I shared today…have a blessed and happy day ahead..!!

Birthday Hello Card

My last card was a bright one and I wanted to make another bright one with lots of colours in it….there is not much technique in this card but I had a whole lot of fun creating a colourful background for today’s card…
The card base is plain white and the top layer has been die cut using the cross stitched rectangle die and watercolour cardstock…then I used a paint brush and simply dabbed on various colours from my Peerless watercolours set….
Using an orange foil cardstock, I die cut the word ‘hello’ and a speech bubble….I stamped the sentiment on the speech bubble before placing it on the top layer…and finally I have added a few orange sequins as embellishments…
I’m glad you stopped by to take a look at my card….Hope you will have a beautiful day ahead…!!

Happy Birthday Peonies Card

Today I’m sharing another card where I have used watercolours….but the main hero of this card is the Altenew Peony Scrolls stamp set…..I have just used four of the stamps from the set….there are a lot more tiny ones in the set as well….
The card base is plain blue and for the top layer layer I have used Ranger watercolour paper…I have stamped all the images using Versamark ink and heat embossed them with black embossing powder and then coloured them in using Peerless watercolours….I also decided to wash the negative space on it using a light blue colour….
I have used a strip of pink foil cardstock for the die cut sentiment but before I placed the sentiment on it,I used the stitch border die to create the stitched effect on it…and finally I used a few tiny sequins to decorate the card…
Thanks for stopping by to take a look…Happy crafting…

Love And Adore You Card

When simple works…there is no need for complicated….and with that thought I started today’s card….there are no special techniques I have followed here…kept things plain and simple…
The card base is plain white and then I have an orange mat and a black top layer…I then stamped the Gorjuss mini stamp on vellum paper and coloured it in which I later attached to the back of a white rectangular die cut frame…
I also die cut the words ‘love & adore you’ from orange foil cardstock and adhered them on one side of the card and the frame on the other…
To decorate the card,I simply punched out a few hearts from orange foil cardstock and placed them around the image…and my simple card was ready…
Hope you liked it…

Happy Birthday Shaker Card

I love creating shaker pockets for cards, bookmarks or tags….and today I’ve tried out a shaped shaker pocket for a card front…this time I’ve tried to be very neat so that I don’t have to cover up the edges with a frame or embellishments…which also means that this card is not bulky at all and can be posted as standard post…
I started with a bright pink card base and a bright green top layer….I then created the shaker pocket using the fuse tool and a photo sleeve pocket which I filled up with lots of bright sequins before sealing it at the top…
I then attached the fuse pocket to the top of the card and added a scalloped border strip from pink foil cardstock over it…I used the same foil card stock to punch out a circle for the stamped sentiment as well as the die cut scripty ‘Happy Birthday’ word and placed these on the card..
Just realised that I did not add the dot on the ‘i’ from the die cut….also known as a ‘tittle’….I’ll add it now but there is no time to re-shoot… 🙂
Hope you liked this card…

Bright And Wonderful Card

I am quite partial to cute stamps of little girls and when I saw the Gorjuss Mini stamps from Santoro…I went ahead and bought a few….and I’m sure I’l be using them a lot as they are the perfect size for cards or tags…
The card I’m sharing today has a plain white card base and a whie ge top layer as well….On the top layer I have stamped Decorative Tape Pieces by Kaisercraft in various ink colours on one side….and on the the other side I have stamped the sentiment at  the top and placed a coloured in and cut out image near the base…
I have used a few rhinestones to decorate the card….
Hope you liked this card….

Lucky Card

In everyone’s life, there are a few people who bring out the best in them….they appreciate and encourage you and you feel great around them…..but these people won’t stay like this forever….they need to feel appreciated as well….so if you have great people in your life, try and give them more importance than the ones who bug and trouble you infinitely….
I have a handful of great friends, and I absolutely adore each and every one of them….
Now let me tell you about this card I’m sharing with you today…The card base and top layer are both plain white…On the top layer I have repeatedly stamped the flower and leaf image from Stampin Up! Stamp Set called What I love….On a 1&1/2″ strip of blue cardstock I stamped the sentiment with black ink and added a few strips of foil cardstock on it before placing it on the top layer…
The card was ready pretty quickly…I just added a few rhinstones to finish the card…
Hope you like this card…Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog…I appreciate it a lot…
