Celebrate – Rainbows,Unicorns, And Glitter

For the  MFT challenge blog’s The Birthday Project we have to incorporate the word ‘celebrate’ in our birthday card creation….I really love the MFT Magical Unicorns stamp set and thought it would be perfect for my card…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I created the background using Distress Inks and splattered some water for effect…I have used victorian velvet, milled lavender, tumbled glass and salty ocean shades here…I adhered this panel to a plain white card base and started on the other elements for my card….

I first die cut the word ‘celebrate’ using the stitched alphabet die-namics as well as from pink craft foam…I layered these and adhered them at the bottom of the card front…I then die cut a rainbow from white cardstock and coloured it in using Spectrum Aqua markers and water…once dry,I adhered the rainbow to the card as well…

I next stamped and coloured in the unicorn on a piece of white cardstock and cut it out…I adhered it on one end of the rainbow using some adhesive foam squares and adhered the stamped sentiment label on the other end…to embellish my card I have used some clear confetti sequins…

A Baby Card For Altenew September Inspiration Challenge

I had made floral themed cards for the past couple of inspiration challenges that I participated in, so for the Altenew September Inspiration Challenge I decided to create a baby girl congrats card using the colours from the photo by Sveta Fotinia…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
Here is the inspiration photo and I chose to use the colours from the flowers for my card…
On a plain white top panel, I stamped the tiny images from the stamp set and randomly stamped them using the challenge colours to create the background..I used the following Altenew dye inks – frayed leaf, puffy heart, cotton candy, frosty pink, coral berry ,cosmic berry and carribean sky…
I adhered this top panel to a plain white card base and die cut the word ‘congrats’ from pink glitter cardstock as well as pink craft foam using Altenew script word die and layered them before adhering them to the card front…I also added a narrow strip of the same glitter cardstock at the top of my card…

On a separate piece of cardstock, I stamped and coloured in the cute onesie and cut it out before placing it on my card, just above the die cut sentiment..I used some craft foam underneath for a bit of dimension…

To embellish my card, I used a few sparkling clear confetti sequins as well as a silver string tied up into a bow at the top of the card…I also added a tiny butterfly to the onesie which I punched from the same glitter cardstock as the die cut sentiment..
Thank you for stopping by to take a look at my card….Hope you will have lovely & blessed day ahead…Happy crafting..!!

Time Out Challenges – CASE-ing Beverly Brown

The card I’m sharing today is my entry for Time Out Challenge #91 in which we have to CASE with our own twist a very beautiful and colourful card by Beverly Brown – the owner and designer of Uniko Stamps…creating a fun colourful stripy background was easy and to give it a bit of a design twist,I thought of a few ways and finally decided to go with this one…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

On a piece of plain white cardstock,I masked 3/4″ sections with some scrap copy paper and covered these sections with various colours of Distress Inks…I used salty ocean, wilted violet, evergreen bough, squeezed lemonade, spiced marmalade, candied apple and blueprint sketch..

Then I stamped the large doily stamp on this colourful stripy background using versafine onyx black ink and heat embossed it with some clear embossing powder…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

Time for the twist…I cut each section of the stripy background apart and adhered them onto a silver foil cardstock panel…making sure to assemble them in the right order…ha ha..

I then added this panel to a plain white card base and also added a black strip on one side of this panel…

Using some more silver foil cardstock and black craft foam,I die cut the alphabets h,b and d and adhered them onto the card front…I stamped the words ‘to you’ on a small silver banner and placed it under the die cut word/acronym..

To embellish my card I have used some sparkling clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh…

Camp Create Day 2 – Magnificent Masking

So this is the second day of MFT Camp Create and the focus today was to create a background using the masking technique…Karolyn created a beautiful sunset horizon for her card and tutorial…and I decided to create a rainbow rays background for my card…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I first prepared the masks for my card using some copy paper(cut to size for the card front),a ruler and pencil…I marked all the rays first and then cut them out….I adhered all the sections to a white front panel using removable adhesive tape and then removed one section at a time to colour in with Distress Inks…
The shades of Distress Inks that I have used here are – wilted violet, blueprint sketch, salty ocean, mowed lawn, squeezed lemonade, carved pumpkin and candied apple…once the panel was ready,I splattered some water as well as some diluted Nuvo gold mousse on it and then adhered it to a plain white card base…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
On a separate piece of white cardstock,I stamped the dogs, hearts and clouds images using Versafine black ink and clear heat embossed them…I then coloured them all in using Spectrum Noir markers and die cut them with the coordinating dies…I adhered some die cuts directly and some using die cut craft foam underneath for a bit of dimension…
Finally I stamped the sentiment on a die cut white fishtail banner using red ink and since I was using the Misti stamping tool,I was able to re-stamp the sentiment using watermark ink and clear emboss this as well…I cut off one end of the banner and adhered it to my card front and my card was ready…

Katzelkraft Dogs Rubber Stamps – Love Ya

I was looking for a stamp set that had larger images that would fill up the card on their own and not require to be added on to a scene or accompanied by other images…and I found the Katzelkraft rubber stamp set with 6 different images of dogs…I absolutely loved the expressions on every single one of the dogs…today I’m sharing the first of six cards I have made using this stamp set…

For a plain white card base,I die cut some watercolor cardstock using the large cross stitched rectangle die…I then used my Gansai Tambi watercolours to create a random pattern in the middle…once dry,I adhered it to the card base…

On a separate piece of cardstock,I stamped the dog images, coloured it in and cut it out…I adhered it to the card front using some craft foam for dimension…
The sentiment has been die cut using silver glitter cardstock as well as red craft foam which I adhered together before placing it on my card…
To embellish this card I have used some hearts that I die cut from red glitter cardstock…
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today…Happy crafting…!!

Easy Stamp Painting – Two Cards,Two Techniques

I have tried the ‘no line watercolouring’ technique so many times and have failed miserably to get the right result…I probably need lots of practice but for now I have found an easy way out which gets me the look of hand-painted flowers so easily…maybe this has been tried and shared by others before but I haven’t seen any tutorials/videos yet…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

For my first card I chose a lime green card base and die cut the top layer from watercolour cardstock….now for the fun part….I used the detail stamps from a rose layering stamp and and various Distress inks to stamp directly on the top layer….I used one colour at a time and with a water brush I quickly painted on the stamped area, spreading the ink out and painting a flower shape…I used my heat gun to dry the images and repeated the stamping and painting with other colours…I have used picked raspberry, spiced marmalade, candied apple, mustard seed and mowed lawn shades of Distress inks…

To add the gold splatter I had to roughly mask the painted section……I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment on a green label and layered it with a gold glitter label before adhering it to the top layer…

Finally before adhering the top layer to the card base,I ran the it through my Cuttlebug using a large rectangle cross stitch die…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I used a different…and much simpler idea for my second card….most of you would take one look at it and know exactly what I did to get the hand painted look in this card…

On a piece of watercolour cardstock,I stamped the dahlia and leaves outline images using a very light distress ink….I used a thin paintbrush and Peerless watercolours to paint on top of these stamped outlines…and my painting was done…tell me if I’m wrong but I think it looks hand painted.. 🙂

I then splattered some purple paint on the rest of the card and die cut the words ‘love & hugs’ from it…I then die cut the same words from orange craft foam and adhered it all back onto the card…to embellish my card I have used a few metallic orange sequins…

A Card For Mummy & A Card For Daddy

After viewing a lot of Mother’s and Father’s Day cards on various blogs,Instagram,Facebook etc recently,I got quite inspired to create a few myself…I have also been able to try out my lowercase dies for these cards which I really wanted to try after viewing so many awesome alphabet die cards by Therese Calvrid

In Australia,Father’s Day is celebrated in September while Mother’s Day is celebrated in May…so it’s a bit too early for me to create a Father’s Day card..but I’m sure all cardmakers will agree that it’s never too early to make cards for any occasion…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

Both my cards are very similar and I made them both at the same time…I started with cutting the card bases to size from coloured cardstock…I then cut bright yellow and green plain cardstock for the front panel which I have embossed using the WRMK next level embossing folders…I cut these panels 1cm. short from one side only and adhered them to the card front…

I then die cut the words ‘mummy’ and ‘daddy’ from printed DSP using the lowercase dies…I die cut the same words again from craft foam and adhered the foam behind the alphabets before placing them onto the cards..

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

On a separate piece of cardstock I stamped, coloured in and cut out the Cuddly Koalas with their joey’s(that’s what you call a baby Koala) and placed them onto the card as well…I stamped the sentiments on thin strips of leftover cardstock from the card base and added those to the cards as well…
Finally I have used Nuvo Crystal Drops to embellish these cards…

I have had a ton of fun making these cards…Hope you liked these too…

Celebrate – Shaker Card

I’m sharing a shaker card today and I am pretty happy with how it turned out….I was able to use printed cardstock for the card base and since I didn’t use any coloured or large sequins, the stamped image shows well…

I made the card base using a silver glitter patterned cardstock and then started to assemble the elements for the shaker section of this card…for the base of the shaker I used a white cardstock and stamped the Sydney cityscape at the bottom…I then sponged in various distress inks to fully cover the base section…
I used a couple of pierced rectangle dies and white cardstock to create the shaker frame….the acetate layer is slightly smaller than this frame and I have stamped the sentiment and a few stars on it using Stazon black ink….and I created the shaker ‘well’ using some white craft foam…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

Before adhering all the elements of this shaker,I added lots of clear star sequins and stamped a few stars on the frame as well….here’s a close up shot of the shaker…

Festive Shaker Tags

I had so much fun creating these Christmas shaker tags…and MFT tag builder blueprint 5 die set makes it so easy to create a great looking tag…I love the stitch details on these tags and there are heaps of other die elements that you can use for cards and other crafts…
So now about my tags….for both my tags I have used a coloured cardstock – darker shade for the base and a lighter one for the top of the shaker…once I die cut the cardstock,I die cut some craft foam as well as a piece of acetate…
I added the sequins and assembled everything….on the green tag I simply added a stamped sentiment and blue bakers twine while on the red tag I stamped the sentiment using white ink directly onto the tag and added a gold layered die cut snowflake next to the sentiment…
