I was having so much fun with the Avery Elle Peek-a-boo Stamps and die set that I made three cards in one go…how good is that!!

First I made an anniversary card using the hedgehog stamp….I stamped and coloured in the images using alcohol markers and die cut using the coordinating dies…on the plain white front panel I added a cloudy background using the MFT mini cloud edges stencil and salty ocean Oxide ink….I then die cut a circle in the front and added the embossed stitched lines as well using the Crafti Potential die set…
I stamped the sentiment on the front panel using Avery Elle simple sentiments stamp set then adhered the hedgehogs behind the circle window and added a glitter cardstock behind it…I added a couple of die cut hearts and adhered the front panel to a plain white card base…

For my second card, I die cut two small circle windows and added a green scalloped circle frame around each one ( Lawn Fawn – Mini picture frames die set)…I added the coloured in and die cut chicks and adhered some purple glitter cardstock behind them…I sponged in a bit of cracked pistachio Oxide ink to the edges of the panel and stamped the sentiment (Winnie & Walter sentimental-Love stamp set)..I added a few die cut hearts to the front panel and adhered it to the card base…

Now my third card is a simple thank you card…I used the MFT english brick wall stencil and fired brick Oxide ink to print the pattern on the front panel and then die cut a rectangle window…I also stamped a border stamp at the top of the panel…I added the little cat and dog inside the window and added some blue glitter cardstock behind them…I then stamped the sentiment )Avery Elle- Many Thanks stamp set) and adhered the front panel to the card base…to embellish this card I have added a few silver confetti sequins…

New Home Congrats Card

So this is what I do when I get an idea for a card using a particular stamp set but I can’t get enough time to get started on that card immediately…I scribble the idea onto a small sticky note or a piece of paper and slip it inside the stamp packaging so that the next time I pull that stamp set out, I already have at least one idea for using it…

This is a simple card made with masking and repeat stamping images to create the background…keeping just one image from the Jane’s Doodles home sweet home stamp set as the main focus, I stamped and coloured it first and masked it and then started stamping all the images around it…

I added a patterned black and white paper strip at the base of the front panel and adhered it to the card base..I die cut the word ‘congrats’ from red glitter cardstock as well as twice from black cardstock and layered them before adhering it to the card front…I also adhered three die cut hearts on the printed panel and my card was ready..

Happy Bird Day – Paper Smooches March Challenge

I usually try and stay away from sketch challenges mainly because I find them a bit hard to create for…and I end up mostly confused whether the sketch has to be followed as is or we can change a few things around…and as you can see, even in today’s challenge my card has a portrait orientation instead of the landscape one in the sketch…my card wasn’t looking good that way so I took the risk..!!

Here is the sketch for the March Challenge over at the Paper Smooches blog

I first die cut one end of a wide strip of printed DSP  using a stitched edge die and then a narrower and shorter white strip….I embossed tiny circles on the background of this white strip using the cross stitch die from Paper Smooches…I randomly stamped red hearts on this strip and the sentiment as well and set these panels aside to prepare the front panel of my card…

I decided to use a plain black die cut top panel and added a thin strip of bright pink glitter cardstock on one side before adhering it to the card base…I added the printed panel first and then used some craft foam to elevate and adhere the second panel….
On a separate piece of white cardstock,I stamped the flamingo and coloured it in before cutting it out and adhering it to my card front using a few different heights of adhesive foam squares…and finally I added a few red Nuvo drops to embellish my card..

The Cutest Repeat Stamped Background!

Mama Elephant stamp company keeps coming out with these cluster of images stamp sets like cats, snowmen, etc….and when they came out with the one with the cutest puppies ever,I knew just had to have this set…I also wanted to keep my first card using this set quite simple and quick….and that’s exactly how it went..

On a plain white front panel,I stamped the first time near the base and masked it before stamping again just above it…I had to stamp the image 3 times to cover the front panel which didn’t take much time at all…I coloured in just one of the dogs on the panel and adhered it to my card base…

I then die cut a frame from light blue glitter cardstock and adhered it to the card front…

Next,I die cut the words ‘happy’ and ‘wishes’ from the same blue glitter cardstock as well as some copper coloured glitter cardstock and layered them in a way that the top layer is prominent while the bottom layer slightly ‘peeks’ from underneath like a shadow…I did the same thing with the hearts that I did cute to embellish my card..

Today’s card is my entry for the Paper Smooches January 2018 Challenge and since the theme was ‘anything goes’, I pulled out my very favorite dog stamp from the Woofers & Tweeters set as well as the Seeing Stars set to create the background…
I started by creating the front panel of my card using some Distress Inks…I sponged in the following shades – tumbled glass, blueprint sketch, wilted violet, chipped sapphire and black soot…I also sprinkle some water for effect..I then randomly stamped the star stamps all over the panel using Versamark ink and the heat embossed them using some silver embossing powder…I then adhered this panel to a plain white card base…

On a separate piece of white cardstock I stamped the dog image using Versafine black ink and then heat embossed it using clear embossing powder…I coloured it in and die cut using the coordinating die and placed it on my card front using some adhesive foam squares…

I stamped the sentiment on a small white banner using purple ink and layered it with a larger purple glitter label and adhered them to my card as well…then using the same purple glitter cardstock,I die cut a few stars and used them to embellish my card….I have used foam squares under these stars for a bit of dimension..

Father’s Day Funny Card

It’s Father’s Day in Australia tomorrow…hope you’ve got a card and socks all wrapped up for your dad by now..ha ha…my dad meditates and also has a great sense of humour, so this year I thought to make a kind of funny card for him…and I’m sure my daughters must have got their cards ready for my hubby as well…I don’t know if they made funny cards too..I don’t get to see them in advance anymore..!!

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I started by creating the background on a white front panel…I used a stencil and Distress Inks for it…the ink shades I used are squeezed lemonade, wild hone and spiced marmalade…I then added an orange foil cardstock frame and adhered this panel to a bright yellow card base ..
On a separate piece of white cardstock,I stamped the meditating monkey image from Katzelkraft Jungle Animals stamp set and coloured it in before cutting it out and placing it onto the card front using some adhesive foam…

I die cut the word ‘Happy’ from green glitter cardstock and layered it with a die cut from white craft foam before adhering it to the card…I stamped the rest of the sentiment on a strip of white cardstock and used foam squares to adhere it to the card as well…
To embellish my card I have simple added a few orange marmalade Nuvo Jewel Drops…

My Entry For MFT Sketch Challenge – Sketch 342

The card I am sharing today has been created using a sketch given out at the MFT Card Challlenges Blog…It’s my first time entering a sketch challenge and I took part only because the idea for this card formed as soon as I saw the sketch…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

This is the sketch for this week’s challenge…

I chose a white card base and a white front panel for my card and started by stamping the sloth image on the front panel…I masked one end of the branch as I wanted it a bit longer and hand drew the rest of it using a black Copic fineliner pen….I coloured in the image using Spectrum Noir markers…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
Then using brown glitter cardstock and the stitched edge die I die cut one layer and then used Vellum paper and scalloped edge die  for the top layer…I stamped and clear embossed the sentiment on this vellum layer before adhering both of them onto the front panel of my card…instead of finding a way to adhere the Vellum to the front panel,I simply cut it a bit longer and folded it in from the top and sides and adhered those flaps at the back of the panel…
I wanted to keep my design simple so I die cut a few sequins from gold cardstock and used them as embellishments on my card..

How Much Do I Love You?

I am amazed at card makers who are super organised…they plan so well and create ahead of time for all occasions, festivals and events…the rest of us probably just scramble to create once we’ve shocked ourselves after looking at the calendar… 🙂
And that’s what happened when I looked at the calendar today…Valentines Day isn’t too far now…so I thought I got to start creating a few cards for that…
The card base for today’s card s plain white and I have cut watercolor paper to size for the top layer…I firstly stamped the super cute hedgehog and tree stump and masked it with drawing gum and let it dry….
I then used various distress inks to create the background…then using my Stampin Up hearts mask and red ink I printed the hearts..I also used a white gel  pen to put some decorative dots all over..
After removing the mask,I coloured in the hedgehog and stump….I placed a large heart die cut from glitter cardstock and placed the stamped sentiment above it…
Thanks for visiting today…Have a lovely & blessed day ahead….Happy crafting…!!

Happy NEW YEAR 2017

So another year is history and a new year has arrived…Wishing you and your family & friends a very happy and prosperous 2017…!!
Today I’m sharing two cards…I wanted bright and blingy and something fun to welcome the new year..so I made one very large card using gold foil cardstock and the WRMK alphabet punch board and a smaller shaker card using lots of glitter cardstock…
My first card has a printed cardstock base with a bit of glitter which is 11″x 4″ when folded….I then punched out the four numbers using gold foil cardstock and the alphabet punch board…I also ran these numbers through my Cuttlebug using a WRMK next level embossing folder before adhering them to the card base…
Then all I had to do was to die cut the word ‘happy’ using pink cardstock, apply a bit of glossy accents and adhere it above the numbers and my card was ready…

My second card is a small but a very very glittery shaker card…I die cut the card base using blue glitter cardstock and the largest die from a nesting die set called Lorrianes flower…I then die cut a circle using gold glitter cardstock as a sort of top layer for this card…

Using the second largest die from the same die set,I die cut the base of the shaker element using brown glitter cardstock…I die cut a lot of circle frames using white cardstock and layered them together to make the shaker ‘well’…in between one of these circle frames I attached a strip of acetate and adhered die cut numbers 2017 on it…this really helps in keeping the numbers visible as most sequins can freely move under that acetate strip and not hide them…

I filled in colourful star sequins and closed the shaker with a die cut acetate circle…I die cut another circle frame for the top of the shaker using brown glitter cardstock…
