Die-Cut Christmas Poinsettia

Today I’m sharing a card I have made using traditional Christmas colours and a large die cut Poinsettia flower…
The card base is dark brown and the top layer has been cut to size from watercolour paper….I sponged in a few shades of green Distress inks for the background and used a dark green and white watercolour to splatter onto the top layer….once dry,I used an Avery Elle double pierced rectangle die to emboss the top layer…
I die cut all the elements for the Poinsettia flower and leaves and adhered them together before placing them onto the card…I have used my bone folder to curl up the edges of the petals and leaves…
Then using brown glitter cardstock,I die cut the sentiment and placed it on the card and my card was ready…
Thank you for taking the time and visiting my blog today…Hope you will have a wonderful day ahead…Happy crafting…!!

This is the mood board provided for the November Challenge…I loved the glittery blue and pink baubles….so I chose those colours to make my cards with ….

Scrapbook Boutique - Nov 2016 Mood Board Inspiration Challenge
For my first card I chose a Kraft cardstock card base and a plain white top layer…I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment using gold heat embossing powder…..I then die cut the base of the ornament from the top layer and wrapped a gold string around the top..

In the cut out section,I placed a snowflake ornament which I have die cut using blue glitter cardstock and embellished them with gold pearls…

My second card has a plain white card base…the top layer has been die cut from watercolour cardstock using a large rectangle stitched die….I then sponged in some spun sugar and pickled raspberry distress inks and splattered a bit of water for effect…
I created the top panel using pink glitter cardstock and mini scallop dies for the frame and a white base on which I have heat embossed the reindeer image…I added a few die cut snowflakes on the top layer before adding the panel on it…
I stamped the sentiment on a small white panel and layered it onto a small die cut scalloped rectangle…

Bright Borders Birthday Card

A lot of stamp sets have these tiny border stamps which are only about two to three inches long…I  have usually ignored those stamps….till now…
I was trying out a couple of these stamps to create a full border using bright inks and they didn’t line up correctly(the reason why I didn’t use them much to begin with)…but a small section look alright and I decided to die cut that part to use in a card using the stitched rectangle die…the panel looked great and I decided to make it the main element of today’s card…
The card base is plain white and the top layer is plain blue which has been die cut using the largest of the stitched rectangle border die and then placed the border stamped panel on it….
I then die cut the word ‘happy’ using red glitter cardstock and placed it on the panel at an angle and also stamped the word birthday on a small piece of white cardstock and placed it on the die cut…
Have a lovely & blessed day ahead….Happy crafting…!!

Post#189 – You Brighten My Day Card

I have now started paying attention to all the small/tiny stamps in my collection, and am having a lot of fun by making card backgrounds using them….
The card base is a plain green one….and the top layer is white on which I have repeatedly stamped the small apple, orange and pear stamps….and because the background turned out so bright,I chose a sentiment that reflected the mood of the card….’you’ word has been die cut from red glitter cardstock and placed on the card…I then stamped the words ‘brighten my day’ underneath…
I added two strips of gold and green glitter cardstock on one side and also added a few rhinestones under the sentiment….
Hope you liked this card…

I love the versatility of distress inks….they blend so well and also react with water/liquids to create a great dimension to any design…
For today’s card, I started with a white plain cardstock base…The top layer is also white but has been coloured in with bright distress inks…once it was fully covered,I misted an embossing folder with a water filled spritzer and quickly stamped the top layer and dried it with a heat gun…then stamped the sentiment and used gold heat embossing powder for it…….I also added two thin strips of glitter cardstock at the base of the top layer before adhering it to the card base….
I stamped and coloured in the image of a little girl on a separate piece of cardstock and then cut it out….I have used adhesive sponge squares underneath the image to make it pop up on the card….and finally I have added quite a few sequins to decorate the card…
Hope you liked this one…

Valentines day is just a week away and I just realised that I have not made as many cards as I had thought I would….Better late than never…so I’m starting now…
The base of the card is plain blue and the top layer is white….On the top layer I have stamped the large word ‘love’ with red dye ink….I then used a lot if bright coloured inks to stamp various flower stamps on only two sides of the card…
I die cut the word ‘Love’ from blue glitter cardstock and kept it aside….Then I die cut the same word from the top layer and replaced and inset the blue one in it….I have used light blue adhesive pearls in various sizes as embellishments…
Hope you liked this card…

Yesssss…I’m celebrating my 150th post…and I’ve even made a card for myself…Ha ha!!!

The card has a white base and the a white  top layer…all four sides of both layers have been rounded using a corner punch….

On the top layer I have used distress inks and stars stencil to create a background….and stamped a ‘hip hip hooray’ stamp with Grape Soda Ranger Dye Ink….I used a tag die and stamp to create a tag to decorate the card..the top tag also has a die cut word ‘celebrate’….

Thank you so much for visiting my blog…Hope you liked today’s card….
