You Inspire Me

I was so happy when Clearly Besotted stamps re-opened a few months ago…I love their stamps and I hadn’t tried any of their flower stamps yet…so I got this one with the poppies and a few sentiments..

I started with a top folding white card base and a white top layer as well…I then sponged in a few shades of green Distress Inks to cover this top layer…I have used forest moss, mowed lawn and twisted citron here…and before adhering this top layer to the card base,I embossed it using WRMK next level embossing folder…
On a separate piece of white cardstock – as wide as the card base – I stamped the poppy flowers image but that didn’t cover the width of the card so I masked the center image and stamped more flowers…
Now colouring these images was made slightly easy by the fact that one of the Derwent Inktense pencil shade is called Poppy Red…it is actually quite bright but I used just a bit of it to colour in the flowers and buds…

I carefully cut out the top part of this panel and adhered it to the card front using some craft foam in between…I stamped the sentiment label and adhered it as well..

To embellish my card I have used Nuvo drops as well as a gold string at the top…here is a close up shot of the poppies…

Autumn Leaf Shaker Card – Time Out Challenge #90

The theme for the new challenge at Time Out Challenges Blog is Autumn with the optional twist of speed stamping…I did time myself from start to finish and it took me 8 minutes and 43 seconds to create this card…which is well under the 10 minute limit given out for this challenge…this is definitely my fastest ever shaker card…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I started with a textured apricot orange shade of cardstock for the card base and cut kraft cardstock to size for the top panel…I then die cut the leaf shape from this top panel and started to prepare the shaker element…

On a piece of white cardstock,I randomly sponged some Distress Oxide inks to create the autumnal look…I used vintage photo, lucky clover, antique linen and spiced marmalade shades here..I then adhered a piece of acetate behind the kraft panel…I then adhered adhesive foam tape to create a well for the shaker, added the sequins and added the inked panel to close the shaker well…

I did not add too many sequins as I wanted the inked background of the leaf to show a bit better…

Once the shaker panel was ready and adhered to the card front, all I had to do was stamp the sentiment on a small strip of the same cardstock as the card base…I used lucky clover Distress Oxide ink for stamping and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder and adhered it to the card front using some foam squares underneath…and as a final touch,I quickly made a bow from gold string and adhered it to the leaf using a glue dot…

I never thought I could make a shaker card this fast…and it was so much fun creating this card with the timer running beside me…I think good planning was the key for me today…

So happy you stopped by my blog today…thank you for taking the time…have a happy and crafty day ahead..!!

Black & Gold Anniversary Card

Today I’m sharing an anniversary card that I had been wanting to try for quite sometime…the idea had been formed in my head (and my ideas notepad) long ago and I have finally tried it out…

The card base and top layer of this card is made from black cardstock and I have painted stripes on the top layer using a wide paintbrush and metallic gold paint…I then stamped the sentiment on this panel using Versamark ink and gold embossing powder…
On a separate piece of black cardstock,I stamped three flowers from one of my favourite stamp sets – Tim Holtz Flower Garden and heat embossed them with gold embossing powder as well…I then adhered them to the card front, making sure to used some craft foam under the flower on top for a bit of dimension…I had already added some gold string behind the flowers before I adhered them onto the card…
I used my metallic marker to colour a few white pearls and used them to embellish the card…

Today is also my parents wedding anniversary and I made a similar card for them using the same idea..I will only share a little peek of the card I made for them just in case they haven’t received my card yet…I used the Altenew Garden Hydrangeas stamp set for this card…

Birthday Cards Using Acetate

It’s been a very long time since I’ve been planning to try out acetate cards…went through quite a few tutorials by card makers who shared great tips and techniques and felt I should give it a try…so I made two cards…the first one has an acetate panel in the front and the second one has a clear acetate front..

I have used kraft cardstock for my first card….I created a section to place the acetate and then adhered it to the card…I stamped  one sentiment on the card front and another one inside which can been seen through the acetate panel…

On a separate piece of cardstock I stamped three candles and cut them out and placed them on the card…I have also used glossy accents on the flames of these candles for a bit of shine…
To embellish this card I have wrapped a bit of gold string on the front and adhered some punched out tiny circles that seem like confetti which I have added on the inside of this card so they can be seen through the acetate panel…

My second card has a full acetate front panel…I cut the acetate about half an inch longer than the card front so that once I scored it to size,I would be able to adhere the cardstock I used for the card back to it..

I stamped the little boy holding the large balloon and the sentiment on the panel using Stazon jet black ink…I don’t know if any other ink works on acetate but I know for sure that this one does…

Using Spectrum Noir markers I coloured in the images…you can see on the balloon that it didn’t work too well but it was ok on the small image…

I added a few silver star sequins to embellish this card…

Champagne Bottle Tag

Today I’m sharing a champagne bottle tag….I wanted something festive for the holiday season and yet nothing over the top as a great bottle of bubbly hardly needs to be ‘dressed up’…
I started by cutting the tag base to size and then scored it at 2″ from the top…I die cut the bottom section using a border die and also die cut out a circle from the top section…this will be slipped through the neck of the bottle to hold the tag…and just so this section doesn’t tear easily,I added a stitched circle frame from gold cardstock to strengthen it…
I cut a white piece of cardstock slightly smaller than the tag base and die cut one end with the same border die and adhered it to the tag…I placed a chevron print die cut label on the tag and cut out a red tree from a Christmas printed cardstock and placed it on the label..
The sentiment has been stamped on a small gold label and I adhered a bit of gold string under the label before adhering it to the label…

Bright Cards

It’s spring now….my favorite season….there are new leaves on the trees and the flowers are starting to bloom everywhere….and the days are longer…and it’s bright and sunshiny on most days…and with a bit of inspiration from the weather,I made a couple of bright cards that I’m sharing with you today…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade Card by PriCreated

For the first card,I chose a bright orange card base….on the white top layer, I randomly stamped the dotted squares stamps in various sizes using Versamark ink and heat embossed it using gold embossing powder….I then used bright Peerless watercolors to colour them in….

Once the top layer was dry,I adhered a vellum paper layer above it by wrapping a gold string around it…I then stamped and die cut a frame and stamped in the sentiment as well and placed it on the vellum layer…I also die cut a few sequins from gold foil and orange cardstock to embellish the card…

For my second card I chose a plain yellow card base….then,on a plain white top to layer,I stamped the clouds, sun, sentiment and little hearts and adhered it on one side of the card…I also adhered a couple of thin strips from blue glitter cardstock and orange foil cardstock onto the card…

Over the past few months I have bought some Stampin Up tools like punches, trimmer, stencils etc. and I absolutely love them….but recently I bought a beautiful stamp and punch set called Balloon Celebration….In this card I have only used two of the stamps and the punch but there are so many stamps in this set that I’m sure I will be making quite a lot of cards from it…
The card base is brown and the top layer is pink which has been embossed using a chevron embossing folder…I then stamped and/or punched the various balloons and added a gold string  to all of them….once the ballons were attached to the card,I tucked the strings at the back of the top layer…
The sentiment has been stamped and cut out then placed on the top layer…Once the top layer was adhered to the card, I added a few star sequins as well….
Hope you like this card as much as I do….

Tea is getting fancier these days….and so many flavours too….
This tea bag pouch is very simply an envelope created by using the WRMK 1 2 3 punch board…you just measure the tea bag and look for the correct size envelope measurements on the board…
But since I would like it to be a bit special when I gift it to someone,I have decorated it with a ribbon and string and a few other thing like the butterfly die cut and the stamped banner underneath…
The idea was shared in a very nice tutorial by Sam Hammond(Pootles.co.uk) – Tea Bag Envelope Pouch
I’m quite happy with how my envelope pouch turned out….Hope you liked it too…
