Happy Valentine’s Day..!!

Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.– Lao Tzu
My card for Valentines is a really cute one using a stamp set by Jane’s Doodles called Seamus…I just love the cute sheep images in this set…
I chose a vibrant orange cardstock for my card base and die cut watercolor paper using the cross stitch rectangle die to create the top layer…I then used distress inks to create a vibrant background for this card…the inks shades I have used are – picked raspberry, abandoned coral and mustard seed..
On a separate piece of cardstock,I stamped and coloured in the two sheep images before cutting then out and placing them onto the card…
The sentiment has been heat embossed using red embossing powder and I have used white Nuvo crystal drops to embellish this card…

I made another quick card…and I have used metallic markers and a ruler to create the background…

The card base is made from gold cardstock and I have used black cardstock for the top layer….on the top layer,I created the pattern using some coloured metallic marker and then stamped hearts all over which I heat embossed with gold embossing powder…I have also splattered a bit of gold paint on it…

I then die cut a large heart from gold foil cardstock and then used the die cut inlay technique by Jennifer McGuire to add the sentiment on the gold heart…before adhering the heart to the card front,I added a bit of gold string under it…

Lawn Fawn Critters – Adorable Elephants

Today’s card is bright and colourful….my favorite kind of card….I liked the elephant image from Lawn Fawn stamps so much that I decided to use my mini MISTI to create a mirror image for this card…coz what’s better than one cute elephant..??Two cute elephants…!!  🙂
The card base is plain pink and I have used watercolor cardstock for the top layer….I used pink and orange shades of distress inks to cover the top layer and then used an embossing folder and water spritzer (instead of stamp and ink) to create the background….once it was dry,I stamped the sentiment using black ink….
On a separate piece of cardstock,I stamped and coloured in the two elephant images then cut them out and placed them on the card…I also die cut a heart using red glitter cardstock and placed it behind the elephants’ heads….finally I adhered a few silver sequins in various sizes to embellish the card…
Thank you for stopping by to take a look at my card today…Happy crafting…!!

You & Me Card

Doesn’t it feel great when you plan out a project and it turns out exactly as you had planned..??It happens to a lot of crafters but my projects don’t necessarily follow my plans…at all..ha ha…but this one surprisingly did…
I started with a silver cardstock base and cut watercolour paper to size before colouring it in with Peacock Feather distress ink…the edges are a bit darker than the center but the photo doesn’t show it that well…
I then used silver foil cardstock to die cut a fancy flourish and placed it on the top layer…then I die cut two hearts from vellum and coloured them in with a light marker and used a white gelly roll pen to create a stitched effect on the edges and placed them above the flourish…
On a silver banner,I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and then heat embossed with red embossing powder before placing it above the two vellum hearts…
Finally I decorated the card with small hearts that were die cut from red glitter cardstock using the confetti die by Mama Elephant…
Thanks for stopping by to take a look at my card….Have a lovely & blessed day ahead…!!

You’re Cute Card

I recently bought a couple of stamp sets by Mama Elephant and this one is super cute….it’s called Three Amigos and has three of these critters, each displaying a sign and there are so many options for the message that you want them to display…this is my first card using this stamp set and I decided to use all three of these cuties…
On a white card base,I used a much smaller top layer which has been die cut using the stitched rectangular die…and then I simply washed over a bit of light yellow colour from peerless watercolors…Once it was dry I adhered two strips of green glitter tape on it…
Then I stamped, coloured and cut out the critters and adhered them onto the top layer using adhesive foam squares….I also added foam tape under the top layer before attaching it to the card base….this card didn’t need much embellishment,so I just added a few red glitter hearts near the base…
Hope you liked this card…

Post#171 Hearts Embossed Background card

I quite like the card that I’m sharing with you today….It has a few layers and things on it but it’s not too full of stuff…
The base is made from plain dark pink cardstock…..and the top layer is plain white which has been embossed with love hearts embossing folder and then I wrapped around a silver string on it before attaching it to the card base…
I then added a few layers…the first one is a large stitched circle die cut from the same pink cardstock as the card base…the second one is a smaller stitched circle die cut from silver foil cardstock…Then I die cut a red heart and placed the die cut XOXO on it along with a couple of punched hearts…
Hope you liked this card…

I find it quite difficult with some cards to click pictures that show all the elements of the card clearly….I have clicked countless pictures of this card and constantly adjusted my camera and light but one or the other element was always out of focus…and it’s only when you look closely, you will see a silver string wrapped around the heart….
The card base is plain white with a silver layer and a white top layer which has been embossed using Love Spun embossing folder….I have then placed a large glitter die cut heart on it which has a silver string wrapped around it….and then  I added small punched out elements on it as well as a ‘Happy Anniversary’ banner…
Hope you liked this card…

Post#115 Love Heart Theme – Love Spun Card

Today I’m sharing the final post for my Love Heart Theme….and I have tried something different as well….
I chose a white top layer and stamped it with the Amy Tangerine embossing folder called Love Spun….once the ink was dry I carefully aligned the paper on the embossing folder….but instead of embossing over the stamped image I debossed it…doing this gives it a kind of letterpress effect…
To keep things simple I added a die cut word ‘hi’  and a red heart on a kraft paper strip and sponged the edges with tea dye distress ink….Then I simply attached the top layer to a Kraft cardstock base and the card was ready…
I hope you liked this card and all the other cards and tags that I shared for my Love Heart Theme…
Thanks for stopping by…
