After trying out this shaker card technique a couple of times with circle frame dies,I wanted to try creating a shaker card with a large heart frame….

The card base is plain orange with a silver first layer and an orange top layer…two sides of all these layers have been rounded with a punch…

To create the main heart frame,I used the two largest Kaisercraft nesting hearts dies….but since I needed to die cut more heart shapes in the same size,I used Washi tape to keep the dies together….this way all the frames were exactly the same shape…there are seven frames cut from white cardstock and stuck together to create a well to house the shaker elements..

Inside the frame,I have adhered the die cut word ‘hugs’ from glitter cardstock and stamped the words ‘sending birthday’ above it…and then all that was required was to add a bit of sequins for the shaker….

There is an acetate layer glued on top to close the shaker….and the topmost heart frame has been cut out of glitter cardstock….

I really like this bright  and glittery card…hope you do too…

After making some cards and tags I realised that they all had one thing in common….Love Hearts…So I made a few more and decided to share them with you over the next week as a theme… 🙂
Once I die cut the tag,I inked an embossing folder(Honeycomb by Kaisercraft) with pigment ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder…this works perfect for me because I do not own any background stamps…
I then created the watercolour effect using distress inks…simply dab some ink on a small piece of acetate and spritz it with a bit of water…transfer this watered ink directly onto the paper….it becomes more beautiful when two colours combine to create a new one….
Once the tag was dry I attached the three die cut hearts in the center…stamped the sentiment on a banner, added a few punched stars and finally added the ribbons…
Hope you liked this tag…there are a couple more that I’ll be sharing with you soon…

This time when I wanted to use a Polaroid frame die cut on a card,I thought to make things easy for myself and do the layout like a scrapbook page….
The card is a square white and the top layer had been created using a stencil and distress inks….then a couple of die cut hearts were added and then the Polaroid frame…the word xoxo was cut out of the frame and another one in red added in its place…and lastly the sentiment was placed at the top which is in the shape of an arrow…
I have again used vellum paper to stamp the Fizzy Moon stamp and coloured it in and then added to the back of the picture frame…
Hope you like it.
