Simple Birthday Card

I like outline stamps…and while they are great for colouring in with watercolours, markers or pencils….they are also great as is….especially when you want to create something simple…
While I did want to create a simple card,I also wanted to use colours…so I have used various colours of dye inks to stamp the flowers from my Altenew Peony Scroll stamp set on a white top layer for this card….once the flowers were stamped,I have again used different shades of green and brown inks to fill in the spaces with the leaf stamps in the set…
The background was ready,so I adhered it to the plain purple card base….I have stamped the sentiment on a small purple banner using white heat embossing powder…and I have just used 3 sequins to decorate the card…
Have a happy & blessed day ahead….Happy crafting…!!

Happy Thoughts Your Way Card

I wanted to make a card that could be used for any event or occasion…so I went through all my small stamps and decided to use an envelope stamp to create the background for this card….
The card base is plain pinkish-purple….and I have created the top layer by repeatedly stamping a small envelope stamp on white cardstock using various dye inks….I then masked the envelopes and covered the rest of the white space with distress inks..
I then die cut Vellum for the top layer using the largest of the stitched rectangle die and heat embossed the sentiment using a purple heat embossing powder….I also created a tiny envelope using double sided paper to add on the front of the card…
Finally I used a few sequins to decorate the top layer…these sequins also hide the sticky dots that I have used to adhere the vellum onto the card…
Thanks for stopping by today…Have a lovely & blessed day ahead….Happy crafting…!!

Post#92 Clear Shaker Invitation using Stampers Anonymous Cityscapes Set(New York)

So this is the fourth project using the Cityscapes stamp set and today’s stamp is of New York cityscape and I’ve managed to use the whole stamp for this one rather than a section of it…
I’ve had this idea of making a clear shaker party invitation for a while now…and once I saw the New York cityscape stamp, I knew exactly what I was going to make with it…
I started by stamping the cityscape image on the back of an acrylic pocket using stazon black ink…..adding sequins to the whole pocket would have made the stamp not stand out so I decided to make two sections….the top part is the shaker section filled with sequin stars….there is also a tiny tab section a the top where the tag can be attached…
I also stamped the word ‘party’ on the top section with white stazon ink…and the shaker section was ready…then I die cut a tag and created a background using the party word stamp repeatedly….then I stamped and heat embossed ‘you’re invited’ on the tag….I used ribbons and gold string to attach the tag to the clear shaker …
I had a lot of fun creating something different today…Hope you liked it..

Just as the title suggests…today’s post is a card in a card…..So when you open the first card…it has a pocket inside which holds another card….I like the slight element of surprise in this card…
I kept the base card quite simple in blue base and layers on green on inside and silver foil cardstock ย layer on the outside…The front only has a small green label with silver heat embossed sentiment on it…
The inside card is 3″ x 3″ in foil cardstock with two strips of green and blue cardstock on the front…Then I attached a small white tag on which I had stamped and coloured in an image of a little girl…at the back of the tag I attached ย a few small banners for decoration…
I hope you liked this card…

Thanks to the tutorial by box making/designing queen Sam Donald, this bag turns out perfect every single time I make it….I stopped buying giftbags from stores long back…and this one is a great size – 9″ height 7″ width & 3″depth…and since it is made from cardstock,it is very reliable and sturdy….
Here is the link for the tutorial Extra Massive Bag Box Tutorial by Sam (Pootles.co.uk)
I chose grey textured cardstock(2 sheets) to make the bag….then I used the WRMK Flower Punch board to make 2 large flowers for decorating the bag….A stamped and clear embossed sentiment was adhered to the center of the flower….
Instead of using one ribbon for the handles I used two…I think that makes it look a bit more fancy…. ๐Ÿ™‚
The one thing I added to this box were the two circle punched pieces 1/2″ and 1″ to the spot from where the ribbons are threaded…that is because if the things inside the bag are a bit heavy then there is a chance that the ribbons might not hold the weight and rip the paper…
Hope you liked this bag….

I remember when I bought my first few packs of cardstock…..they were all printed ones….and I loved making cards from them….but I slowly moved on to plain cardstock when I realised that my designs stood out better on them…but still every now and then I keep trying out printed cardstock for a card base….
This card has a very nice geometrical pattern in grey white and black and also has silver glitter lines on it…..so I went with the theme and punched out four squares from silver cardstock and rounded two sides only….then I stamped and heat embossed three of those squares with silver embossing powder….the fourth one I left blank and put sentiment ‘Hello’ embossed with black embossing powder…
Hope you liked it..

Post#53 Bright And Colourful Birthday Wishes

I looovvveee how this card turned out….and also how quickly I was able to make it…must be some kind of a record for me…I was even tempted to make another just like this one but decided not to as I wanted this card to be one of a kind… ๐Ÿ™‚

I used a bright lime green coloured cardstock to make the card base and chose a white top layer on which I stamped a present stamp in bright colours repeatedly….to fill the white spaces I used various tiny confetti stamps…
Then to add the sentiment I used a vellum paper and stamped the sentiment using white pigment ink and then clear embossing powder for heat embossing….but it didn’t show well as the top layer of the card was also white…so instead of starting all over again with another colour,I improvised…I coloured the back of the vellum paper with my green alcohol marker…added a few rhinestones…and attached it to the card…
Hope you like this card as much as I do…

This project started out as a tag but ended up as a card…And I think it looks better this way…I guess I’ll make that tag some other time…. ๐Ÿ™‚
On a white card base I added a panel made from three different printed card papers….Then I stamped a few different flowers on another beige printed paper and punched them out using the coordinating flower punch…put an adhesive pearls on each of these flowers and then attached them to the panel….
The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed…and only two sides of the panel and sentiment section were rounded by a corner punch…
Thank you for stopping by….Hope you liked this card…

I’m very happy to share this card with you today….It turned out exactly the way I wanted it to….It’s a rare thing…but it does happen from time to time… ๐Ÿ™‚
Vellum paper is a very new material that I’ve started using….It is taking a bit of time to understand how it works….but I love this translucent paper and how it enhances a card or paper craft project…
I stamped the flower stamp repeatedly on the white card topper and then coloured them in with water colours…..Then I heat embossed the sentiment at the base of the vellum topper….added a ribbon…and a couple of adhesive pearls ย at the top….
I hope you like it.
