Miss You

Well it’s actually spring here in Australia and the days are getting quite warm now as summer is approaching fast…but I’ve been looking at a lot of blog posts and quite a few of them have an autumn theme going…I got inspired by that and created this card…

I started by cutting out the front panel from watercolour cardstock and stamped the leaf images using watermark ink…I heat embossed these images using a copper embossing powder and then covered the panel with dried marigold Distress ink…I then splattered some water as well as some lucky clover Distress ink mixed with some water…

I painted the inside of the leaves with some gold paint and once dry,I adhered this panel to a plain white card front…

On a separate piece of watercolour cardstock,I used some Gansai Tambi blue watercolour and covered the panel with it…I then dabbed a scrunched up tissue to create the clouds(turned out better than my last time)…I cut this to size for the back of my white polaroid frame…

I stamped and coloured in the Gorjuss Mini girl and cut her out before placing on the polaroid…I stamped the sentiment  and adhered a small red heart next to then added this polaroid to the card front using some adhesive foam underneath..

Hello Sunshine

Today I’m sharing a bright and cute card with lots of ‘pink’…I think it would be a good one to say hello and cheer someone up at the same time…
I chose a black card base and a white top layer…I used a couple of shades of pink distress inks and sponged them in to cover the top layer…then I stamped the background using a pink dye ink and few small stamps…I also stamped the sentiment at the top, leaving space for the little Polaroid section…
On a separate piece of cardstock stamped and coloured in the little girl in a bear onesie image and masked it to sponge in the background then cut it to size so it fits the back of the black Polaroid die cut…
Finally I adhered a few enamel dots to embellish the card…

Selfies on Cards

Amy Lee -The Craft Bunny is another extremely talented card maker and her blog is full of colourful and beautiful cards and some of them have tutorial videos as well…one of her tutorials that I absolutely loved teaches the Selfie Technique…my cards are nowhere near Amy’s but I had a whole lot of fun trying out this technique to make two cards with whatever stamps I had on hand…

The first card has a white card base and a glitter printed bright top layer….I created a colourful birthday party scene for this selfie and then adhered it to the back of a large Polaroid die cut…I stamped the sentiment on the Polaroid die and added a few enamel dots to embellish the card…

For my second card I chose a light yellow card base and a bright orange top layer…then using the Tim Holtz Cityscapes London stamp,I created 3 scenes and added a koala and a kitten image as the tourists taking these selfies…I added these scenes at the back of the small die cut Polaroid frames and adhered these on the top layer…I stamped the sentiment on the top layer and added a few clear sequins as well…
