I Think…You Were Right

Today I’m sharing a kind of a simple yet cute apology card…the giraffe with his long neck in a knot is an image from Katzelkraft Stamps and I have used wild greenery dies for the background panel…the sentiment from Paper Smooches uplifters stamp set is just perfect for this card…

I started by creating the background panel for the giraffe…I die cut lots of leaves from a smooth bright green cardstock and adhered them to a panel cut to size from the same cardstock…I added this panel to a plain white card base and also added two strips of black glitter cardstock on each side…I stamped the sentiment directly on the card base using black ink…

I stamped the giraffe on a separate piece of white cardstock and coloured it in with my Spectrum Noir markers…I then cut it out and adhered it to the green panel using some adhesive foam squares…

To embellish my card I have used some black Nuvo Drops…

I Need Your Hugs.Stat!

I loved the images from the Dogs stamp set by Katzelkraft…especially their expressions…so when I bought their Jungle Animal stamp set I was even more excited to used those images for my cards…I found the elephant image in this set really adorable with a sad face and looked like she/he really needed a cuddle or two…!!

I first stamped some grass at the base of a  white panel…I used two shades of green for a bit of dimension…I wasn’t too confident at directly stamping and colouring the elephant image so I stamped and coloured it on a separate piece of white cardstock and then cut it out and placed it on the stamped grass…

I a die cut banner from same light grey cardstock as the card base and then stamped the sentiment on it using black and red ink..I adhered this banner in the middle of the front panel using some craft foam underneath…

I adhered the white panel to the grey card base and added a few silver Nuvo drops to embellish my card…

Father’s Day Funny Card

It’s Father’s Day in Australia tomorrow…hope you’ve got a card and socks all wrapped up for your dad by now..ha ha…my dad meditates and also has a great sense of humour, so this year I thought to make a kind of funny card for him…and I’m sure my daughters must have got their cards ready for my hubby as well…I don’t know if they made funny cards too..I don’t get to see them in advance anymore..!!

I started by creating the background on a white front panel…I used a stencil and Distress Inks for it…the ink shades I used are squeezed lemonade,wild hone and spiced marmalade…I then added an orange foil cardstock frame and adhered this panel to a bright yellow card base ..

On a separate piece of white cardstock,I stamped the meditating monkey image from Katzelkraft Jungle Animals stamp set and coloured it in before cutting it out and placing it onto the card front using some adhesive foam…

I die cut the word ‘Happy’ from green glitter cardstock and layered it with a die cut from white craft foam before adhering it to the card…I stamped the rest of the sentiment on a strip of white cardstock and used foam squares to adhere it to the card as well…

To embellish my card I have simple added a few orange marmalade Nuvo Jewel Drops…
