Pretty Pink Flowers For Scrapbook Boutique May Challenge

I was inspired by one of the pictures in this month’s mood board for the Scrapbook Boutique challenge…..but I did not have any stamps that were long stems with flowers….that would have been so easy….but this is a challenge..and the reason why I love such challenges is that they make you think creatively…so I masked the images and extended them to get the look that I wanted…

Here is the mood board for this month’s challenge…I chose to replicate the pink flowers and the embossing is idea was inspired by the tea cup..for the die cut sentiment I chose the colour of the berries..
I started by stamping the flowers a few times on a white watercolour panel with watermark ink and heat embossed them with rose gold embossing powder…to extend the branches, I simply masked the top flower and buds and repeated the process….I coloured in the flowers with my brand new Zig  clean colour  markers and I washed the background with a very light blue watercolour…once dry, I heat embossed half of the sentiment with the same rose gold embossing powder and adhered this panel to a plain white card base…

I then die cut the word ‘you’ from red glitter cardstock as well as white craft foam and layered them before adhering it on the card….I also die cut three sequins from the same cardstock to embellish my card..

Cute Dragons Birthday Wishes

The dragon wishes stamp set by Mama Elephant has really cute tiny dragon images and some awesome sentiments…I wanted to make this one a birthday card so used the sentiment stamp from another set but I plan to use those sentiments with their other dragon stamp set soon…

I created the background panel first…I started by stamping the starry background stamp on the white panel using watermark ink and then heat embossing it with clear embossing powder…I then sponged in Distress Oxide inks to cover the whole panel…I have used hickory smoke, black soot and seedless preserves here…
I stamped the sentiment using onyx  black Versafine ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder as well..I adhered this panel to a plain white card base..

Once the dragon images were stamped, coloured in and die cut,I placed them on my card front…and to embellish my card,I die cut some starts from silver foil cardstock and adhered them to the card front…

The Cutest Repeat Stamped Background!

Mama Elephant stamp company keeps coming out with these cluster of images stamp sets like cats, snowmen, etc….and when they came out with the one with the cutest puppies ever,I knew just had to have this set…I also wanted to keep my first card using this set quite simple and quick….and that’s exactly how it went..

On a plain white front panel,I stamped the first time near the base and masked it before stamping again just above it…I had to stamp the image 3 times to cover the front panel which didn’t take much time at all…I coloured in just one of the dogs on the panel and adhered it to my card base…

I then die cut a frame from light blue glitter cardstock and adhered it to the card front…

Next,I die cut the words ‘happy’ and ‘wishes’ from the same blue glitter cardstock as well as some copper coloured glitter cardstock and layered them in a way that the top layer is prominent while the bottom layer slightly ‘peeks’ from underneath like a shadow…I did the same thing with the hearts that I did cute to embellish my card..

I Love You – Shaker Card

Sharing my first shaker card for this year…and this one didn’t take too long to make so I am pretty sure I will make quite a few shaker cards this year….I am still (and always will be) in awe of card makers who create the most amazing shaker cards with such ease and finesse..

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I first created the background of the front panel of my card using Distress Oxide inks….I have used seedless preserves and picked raspberry shades here…I also splattered quite a bit of water for effect…then using the corbel heart die,I die cut beautiful heart pattern on the front panel…I added a piece of acetate behind this die cut section and started to create the shaker element…
I used foam tape to create the shaker well behind the front panel…I placed a lot of pink and red sequins inside this ‘well’ and added a panel of gold glitter cardstock as the background of my shaker…I used more foam tape to the back of my panel and adhered it to a plain white card base…

I die cut the word ‘you’ from white card stock and adhered it  on my card front….I then stamped the words ‘I love’ on a long white banner and adhered it to complete the sentiment…and finally to embellish my card I have used some small die cut hearts from gold glitter cardstock …

Make A Wish – Ombre Watercolour Background

I saw this technique to create ombre watercolour background in December last year…most of you who follow Kristina Werner would remember the fabulous set of cards she made on Day 25 of her Holiday Card Series….and it has taken me this long to try it out…she has an excellent tutorial with her post and I was so happy with my results that I made two different ombre backgrounds but chose this  bright one to make a card with first…
I chose a white card base and followed Kristina’s tutorial to create the ombre background on watercolor paper…and the watercolors I have used are Peerless watercolors….once the paint was dry,I splattered some metallic gold  paint on it….I love the shine from the gold paint…and finally I ran the top layer through my cuttlebug to emboss it…
I die cut the words ‘make a wish’ and a few stars using gold foil cardstock and placed them onto the card…
The little fairy has been stamped, coloured in,cut out and covered with a bit of glossy accents before being placed on the card as well…

Magical Birthday Wishes

It has been so much fun creating cards with the Avery Elle Pixie Dust stamp set…the little fairy images are super cute…and so easy to colour in…
For today’s card I chose a plain white card base and top layer….I used a stencil and distress inks to print the background onto the top layer…I then die cut a rectangular frame using gold foil cardstock and placed it on the top layer…
The fairies have been stamped and coloured in on a separate piece of cardstock and then cut out and placed on the card….I have used a gold banner to stamp the sentiment and placed a few die cut stars as embellishments…

We Love You Card

I knew I was taking a big risk today by stamping the images directly onto the top layer….ah well, you gotta live dangerously sometimes, isn’t it??…ha haa… 🙂
The card base is plain orange and the top layer is white….I used a mask while stamping the images on the top layer so it look like the animals are actually standing on top of each other….and then I coloured them all in using my Spectrum Noir markers….
I sponged the edges of the top layer with a bit of distress ink and added a strip of black glitter cardstock on one side…and to embellish the card I have used die cut hearts from red glitter cardstock…

You & Me Card

Doesn’t it feel great when you plan out a project and it turns out exactly as you had planned..??It happens to a lot of crafters but my projects don’t necessarily follow my plans…at all..ha ha…but this one surprisingly did…
I started with a silver cardstock base and cut watercolour paper to size before colouring it in with Peacock Feather distress ink…the edges are a bit darker than the center but the photo doesn’t show it that well…
I then used silver foil cardstock to die cut a fancy flourish and placed it on the top layer…then I die cut two hearts from vellum and coloured them in with a light marker and used a white gelly roll pen to create a stitched effect on the edges and placed them above the flourish…
On a silver banner,I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and then heat embossed with red embossing powder before placing it above the two vellum hearts…
Finally I decorated the card with small hearts that were die cut from red glitter cardstock using the confetti die by Mama Elephant…

Thinking Of You Card

So I pulled out black cardstock yet again and decided to make a simple card with it….I think the yellow looks vibrant with the black card base….
There is not much to this card…I started with a black cardstock card base….the top layer is made from watercolour paper which has been washed with yellow watercolour….once that was dry,I stamped the foliage stamps using Versamark ink and heat embossed all the images with white embossing powder…
The sentiment is stamped on a black banner using white pigment ink and I have used gold cardstock to die cut a few sequins to decorate the card…
Hope you’ll have a wonderful and crafty day ahead…Happy crafting…
