Angel Birthday Cards

I have used MFT Little Angels stamp set to create these 4 birthday cards….even though this was a part of the last year’s holiday stamps release, the images are simply too beautiful to only be used for one occasion..!!

I have used Distress Inks and Oxide Inks to create all the background panels and then adhered those panels to a plain white card base…One of my cards also has a stenciled texture paste background and another one has a cloudy background…

On a separate piece of white cardstock, I stamped and coloured in all the angel images and die cut them using the coordinating dies…

I added the angel/angels to the card fronts using some foam squares….I added a die cut happy birthday sentiment on the first card and stamped sentiments for rest of the cards….

I have used tiny pink stars embellishments in just one card but I applied Nuvo glaze to the wings of all the angels for a bit of shine ….

Love Is In The Air – Two Valentine’s Day Cards

With Valentine’s Day just a couple of days from now, love is definitely in the air…and today I am sharing two cute cards that I made for Valentine’s Day..

For both my cards I created a similar background using Distress Inks and grassy edges stencil and mini cloud stencils by MFT….
I stamped the pig and cow  from Avery Elle Hogs and Kisses stamp set on a separate piece of white cardstock and coloured them in using my alcohol markers…I stamped a sentiment on the large heart and covered those with Nuvo Glaze for a shiny effect…
I stamped one more sentiment directly on the background panel….this sentiment is from Avery Elle Love Notes stamp set…I adhered the pig and cow to the card front and finally I stamped a couple of tiny red hearts and my cards were ready…

Mama Elephant Santa’s Sleigh

Hello friends…today I’m sharing two similar cards but I made the backgrounds slightly different to see which one worked better with my layout..in the end, I decided I liked them both so went ahead and made one each..!!

I started by cutting kraft cardstock to size for the front panel and then used stencils and inks to create the hills background as well as the clouds background…I stamped the sentiments using Versamark ink and the heat embossed them using white embossing powder and adhered these panels to the card base…
On a piece of white cardstock, I stamped and coloured in the images and then die cut them using the coordinating dies…I adhered the die cuts using some adhesive foam squares for a bit of dimension…I used a black fineliner pen to draw the reins…and finally to embellish my cards, I have added a few while Nuvo drops…

Thank you so much for your time today..hope you liked my cards…have a happy and crafty day ahead..!!

World’s Greatest Daddy

With Father’s Day coming up in a few days time(2nd September in Australia), I thought to make and share a card for the occasion…I chose the cute dragons from Mama Elephant stamps for my card and the background was pretty quick to create too…before I begin to tell you more about my card, here’s wishing a very Happy Father’s Day to all the awesome dads out there…!!

I started by stamping and colouring in the dragons using my Zig clean colour markers and once dry, I die cut them using the coordinating dies…I then die cut two pieces for the background and coloured them in using the following shades of  Distress Inks – antique linen, rusty hinge, peeled paint and mowed lawn…

I used salty ocean Distress Ink and MFT cloud stencil on a plain white background panel and adhered this panel to the card base…I added the two  die cut backgrounds on the card front and then using some adhesive foam, I adhered the two dragons on my card..
I stamped the sentiment using black ink and added a small red die cut heart next to the ‘baby’ dragon and my card was ready…

You’re Not Getting Old – Shaker Card For MFT Birthday Project

I was so happy to create and add my entry to the challenge at the MFT challenge blog for the Birthday Project as the challenge this time was to make a shaker card….and since it was always my plan to make more shaker cards this year, it was an added bonus for me…also,I found the perfect sentiment to use with these adorable turtles(they usually live a long life)….

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

Most of the planning in this card was for the layout of the turtles as they are quite big…so I started by stamping and colouring in the bird and turtle images and then fussy cutting them…I also die cut two stitched borders from white cardstock and sponged some antique linen Distress Ink on it…I kept these elements aside for later and started on the shaker…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

First I created the background panel with the mini cloud edges stencil and salty ocean Distress Ink…I then cut a blue glitter panel same size as the card front and then used a smaller rectangle die to create a frame…on the back of this frame,I adhered the two hillside edge panels and then stuck an acetate panel..I then adhered a whole lot of foam tape behind this frame to create the shaker well…
I added a lot of clear and sparkly blue sequins inside the shaker well and then adhered the background panel to close and seal the shaker…now this shaker panel could easily be added to the card base…

I stamped the sentiment on the card front and adhered the cut out images as well…I also added a bit of glossy accents on the images for a bit of shine…
Here is a small video of how my shaker card looks….shaker cards are so much fun don’t you think..??
Thank you so much for taking the time and visiting my blog today…Have a wonderful day ahead…Happy crafting..!!

Colourful Hot Air Balloons For Scrapbook Boutique April Challenge

The challenge mood board for Scrapbook Boutique had a lot of monochrome images this time…but what caught my eye was the only colourful one on the board which it seems to me like a hot air balloon and that’s the one that inspired me to create this card…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
Here is the mood board for this month’s challenge at Scrapbook Boutique..
I started by stamping one of the hot air balloon images on the die cut front panel using Versafine black ink and then clear heat embossed it…I coloured in the image with my Spectrum Aqua markers and a water brush….I then masked this image and sponged in some Distress Inks  to create the background…I have used the following shades – tumbled glass, salty ocean, mustard seed, squeezed lemonade, twisted citron and mowed lawn…I also used a cloud stencil to create some clouds in the middle of the panel before adhering it to a plain white card base….

On a separate piece of watercolour cardstock, I stamped the larger hot air balloon and clear heat embossed it as well…I then coloured this hot air balloon with Aqua markers as well and once dry I cut it out and adhered it to my card front using some craft foam for a bit of dimension…
I die cut the sentiment and some confetti from a piece of bright orange foil paper and adhered it below the balloons and my colourful card was ready..

Oh Happy Day

The card I’m sharing today is all in a single layer..no embellishments,no foam squares and no sentiment labels etc….just a simple front panel with a colourful background and some watercoloured images…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I die cut watercolour cardstock to size using a dotted rectangle die and then stamped the three elephant images using Versafine black ink…and since it is a pigment ink,I was able to heat emboss these images using a clear embossing powder…I coloured in the elephants using Gansai Tambi watercolour and the balloons with my Spectrum Aqua markers…once dry,I added masks to these images so I could create the background..
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I have used Distress inks and the cloud stencil to create the background…the shades I have used are spiced marmalade, picked raspberry, wilted violet, salty ocean, twisted citron and abandoned coral…I then mixed a tiny bit of perfect pearls gold powder with water and splattered it on this panel and once dry,I adhered it to a plain white card base…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I stamped the sentiment on one of the balloons and added some shine on all the images using Nuvo sparkle pen…I also added some glaze on the balloons…
Thank you for stopping by to take a look at my card….Hope you will have lovely & blessed day ahead…!!

Today,Tomorrow, & Forever – Card For MFT Creative Olympics

I’m participating in the MFT Creative Olympics event at the MFT blog and for the first event I pulled out my top favorite MFT stamp sets – Once upon a time & Knight in shining armor….I have made the most amount of cards with these two sets and I feel so happy that I can still reach out for them…there are a few other sets I have from other brands that I haven’t stopped using…do you have any favorites that you keep using every now and then?

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I decided to do some stamp masking on my card front so I used my trusty misti to stamp the images on the front panel…I coloured in the images using Peerless watercolours and masked them before I used drifts & hills stencil with Distress Inks to create the hills…I have used peeled paint, mowed lawn and twisted citron shades here….I have also used blue shades of Distress Inks and cloud mini stencil to create the clouds…for the clouds I have used tumbled glass, salty ocean and blueprint sketch shades…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I adhered the front panel onto a plain white card base and then stamped the sentiment using some bright red dye ink on white cardstock…I used the fishtail sentiment die to die cut the three sections of the sentiment and adhered them onto my card using some adhesive foam strips…and finally to embellish my card I have used a few tiny red sequins…

Today’s card was made as per the rules of Event 1 – Stamping Slalom in which we had to use only MFT products and at least 3 different stamp sets…I will be submitting all my other event entries via my Instagram but will update this post with a picture of my cards for the other events…

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today…Hope you will have a great day ahead….!!

Rainbow Of Wishes

I wanted to make a card that wasn’t occasion specific and could be sent for any happy occasion to wish a loved one….I also wanted it to be a bright and colourful card – my favorite kind of card – as I’m planning to share only Christmas cards for December from my next post onwards…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I started by cutting a white front panel to size and the using salty ocean Distress ink and the MFT mini cloud edge stencil to create a cloudy background…I then used an edge die to cut out the strips from coloured cardstock scrap pieces for the rainbow…
Once the rainbow pieces were adhered to the front panel,I die cut the word ‘Rainbow’ twice from white cardstock and layered them before adhering them onto the section where I had stamped the rest of the sentiment using black ink…I used my markers to colour every alphabet in the colours of the rainbow..
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I  die cut and adhered a white frame to the front panel and then adhered it to a plain white card base…then on a separate piece of white cardstock,I stamped and coloured in the Hippo image and cut it out and placed him on the rainbow using some adhesive foam squares…I also applied some glossy accents on the hippo image for a bit of shine..and finally I added a few clear confetti sequins to embellish my card..
