My Entry For MFT Sketch Challenge – Sketch 342

The card I am sharing today has been created using a sketch given out at the MFT Card Challlenges Blog…It’s my first time entering a sketch challenge and I took part only because the idea for this card formed as soon as I saw the sketch…

This is the sketch for this week’s challenge…

I chose a white card base and a white front panel for my card and started by stamping the sloth image on the front panel…I masked one end of the branch as I wanted it a bit longer and hand drew the rest of it using a black Copic fineliner pen….I coloured in the image using Spectrum Noir markers…

Then using brown glitter cardstock and the stitched edge die I die cut one layer and then used Vellum paper and scalloped edge die  for the top layer…I stamped and clear embossed the sentiment on this vellum layer before adhering both of them onto the front panel of my card…instead of finding a way to adhere the Vellum to the front panel,I simply cut it a bit longer and folded it in from the top and sides and adhered those flaps at the back of the panel…
I wanted to keep my design simple so I die cut a few sequins from gold cardstock and used them as embellishments on my card..

Cheers – Action Wobble Card

Now this is the very first action wobble card I have tried to make….and I made a very big mistake in choosing the element that actually wobbles…I chose an Elephant….ha ha…just kidding….it does wobble quite well and you can check out the small video I have uploaded here on my Instagram page
I started with a plain white card base and a die cut top layer made from watercolour cardstock which is the same size as the card front…I sponged in some mowed lawn & shabby shutters distress inks all over this top layer and spritzed some water on it for effect…
I then die cut two pieces of watercolour cardstock using stitched scalloped rectangle dies and sponged some tea dye distress ink on it first and then stamped a wood grain stamp using dark brown dye ink….on these panels,I adhered the coloured in sloth and then used an action wobble spring to adhere the elephant…I have also used a few leaf die cuts behind the panel which has the elephant…
The sentiment has been die cut from blue foil cardstock and I have used a few sequins to embellish the card…
Thank you for stopping by to take a look at my creation…Have a blessed day today…!!

Sloth Thanks Card

My elder daughter is a big ‘sloth’ fan…and I knew the minute I saw this super cute Sweet Sloths stamp set by MFT that I had to get this one for her(well that’s what I told myself…ha ha..)
I have used a white card base and die cut watercolor cardstock to size using the largest rectangle stitched die…I then stamped the sloth image on the top layer and masked it using masking fluid….I left the stamp as is on my Misti stamping tool so I could stamp the image again once my colouring was done…
Once the masking fluid was dry I used Peerless watercolours to create the background….after removing the making fluid,I coloured in the sloth using Spectrum Noir markers and re-stamped the image….I then stamped the sentiment on the top layer..
To embellish this card I have used small green sequins as well as glossy accents on the image…
Thank you so much for stopping by to take a look at my card….Have lovely & blessed day ahead…!!
