I Think…You Were Right

Today I’m sharing a kind of a simple yet cute apology card…the giraffe with his long neck in a knot is an image from Katzelkraft Stamps and I have used wild greenery dies for the background panel…the sentiment from Paper Smooches uplifters stamp set is just perfect for this card…

I started by creating the background panel for the giraffe…I die cut lots of leaves from a smooth bright green cardstock and adhered them to a panel cut to size from the same cardstock…I added this panel to a plain white card base and also added two strips of black glitter cardstock on each side…I stamped the sentiment directly on the card base using black ink…

I stamped the giraffe on a separate piece of white cardstock and coloured it in with my Spectrum Noir markers…I then cut it out and adhered it to the green panel using some adhesive foam squares…

To embellish my card I have used some black Nuvo Drops…

The Three Amigos – Happy Birthday

The card I’m sharing today had been planned out quite a while back but I never got around to creating it….so this time when I pulled out the Three Amigos stamp set to create a birthday card,I remembered my idea sketch just in time..

On a plain white top panel,I adhered leaves that I die cut from white cardstock using MFT Wild Greenery die set…once the whole panel was covered,I used a dotted rectangle die to die cut the panel as well as get rid of all the excess parts of the die cut leaves…I then adhered this panel to a plain white card base…

On a separate piece of white card cardstock,I stamped the three critters and coloured them in using Spectrum Noir markers and then cut them out and placed them on the card front…

To embellish this card I have simply added some clear Nuvo drops…

Camp Create Day 1 – Die Cut Inlay

I always watch the MFT Camp Create videos as they are great technique videos and I learn so much…this time I feel confident enough to participate as well…for Day 1 of Camp Create, Barbara Anders showed the inlay die cut technique and challenged us to do the same…I really like this technique as even after adding so much to the card,we don’t add layers and/or bulk to it…here’s what I created…

As a participant of Camp Create,I have earned this badge…

I started by die cutting some leaves from an olive green textured cardstock panel….I used two leaf dies from the wild greenery die-namics die set and repeat die cut to cover the whole panel…then using a bright citrus cardstock,I die cut the leaves again for inlaying them on the panel…I used double sided adhesive sheet to adhere the leaves onto the panel…

I cut the panel to size and die cut one end using a stitched scallop die and then started on the rest of the panel…

Using a piece of Kraft cardstock same size as my card front and the same stitched scallop die,I die cut the section for the bottom…I die cut the word hugs from this panel and inlayed the word die cut from the same citrus green cardstock that I used for the leaves…I stamped the word ‘sending’ using black ink just above it…

Finally,I adhered both the sections of the front panel onto a Kraft cardstock card base and adhered a few sequins to embellish my card…

For today’s participation I have also earned this badge…can’t wait to see and create for the next four sessions…

Cheers – Action Wobble Card

Now this is the very first action wobble card I have tried to make….and I made a very big mistake in choosing the element that actually wobbles…I chose an Elephant….ha ha…just kidding….it does wobble quite well and you can check out the small video I have uploaded here on my Instagram page…

I started with a plain white card base and a die cut top layer made from watercolour cardstock which is the same size as the card front…I sponged in some mowed lawn & shabby shutters distress inks all over this top layer and spritzed some water on it for effect…

I then die cut two pieces of watercolour cardstock using stitched scalloped rectangle dies and sponged some tea dye distress ink on it first and then stamped a wood grain stamp using dark brown dye ink….on these panels,I adhered the coloured in sloth and then used an action wobble spring to adhere the elephant…I have also used a few leaf die cuts behind the panel which has the elephant…

The sentiment has been die cut from blue foil cardstock and I have used a few sequins to embellish the card…

Just Saying Hello

The ‘Beautiful Day’ stamp set by Altenew always gives such great results…whether you choose to do the stamp layering with it or simply use the outline stamps…and without much effort you will create a wonderful element for your card or project…

The card base for today’s card is plain white and I have used a pink mat layer under the white top layer which I have embossed using a lattice embossing folder….

I stamped the flower outline images on a separate piece of cardstock using pink dye ink and cut them out and placed them on the card.I used a piece of craft foam under one of the flowers for a bit of dimension…then using leaf dies and glitter cardstock,I die cut a few leaves and tucked them under the flowers…

The sentiment has been stamped on a small strip of pink cardstock and I have used Nuvo crystal drops to embellish my card….
