From All Of Us

I really loved the layering stamp sets by Clearly Besotted I have used so far, so I got another one…this one is called Pure Poppies…very easy to layer and such great results as well…I also used a rectangle die to add a bit of texture and pattern to the background…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I started by die cutting the black cardstock for the background panel and adhered it to the card base….I then added a smaller stitched rectangle to the card front which has been die cut from gold glitter cardstock …

On a separate piece of white cardstock, I stamped the poppy and leaf images and die cut them using the coordinating dies…I have used the following shades of Altenew crisp inks for stamping the flowers- heartbeat, rouge &coral bliss and for the leaves I have used just green and parrot….

I adhered these pieces to the card and then white heat embossed the sentiment on a small black die cut label and used some adhesive foam to add a bit of dimension…and finally I added a few white Nuvo drops to embellish my card..

Updated Post – Altenew June Inspiration Challenge

Hello…I’m sharing a new picture of my card that I had shared earlier….I wasn’t able to get a better picture that day, so I tried again….and the colours in today’s picture turned out much closer to the actual colours on my card..

-Original Post-

I have tried so hard to click a better picture of my card so I could share the actual colour of the Ranunculus flower on my card, but it keeps showing as a yellowish colour when in fact it’s a green colour quite similar to the one in the inspiration photo….

This is the inspiration photo and colours provided for the June Challenge…I haves used the three colours provided but gave them a bit of a twist by using green as the flower colour, the grey as the leaves and the rose pink/lavender colour for the background…
I started by creating the front panel of my card…I applied rose red and blush rose Peerless watercolours to a watercolour piece of cardstock and set it aside to dry…once dry I added some splatters of the same colours and then adhered this panel to a plain white card base…
On a separate piece of watercolour cardstock, I stamped the flower and leaves with watermark ink and heat embossed them with a white embossing powder…I then used a couple of Altenew crisp inks and a water brush to colour in these images…I have used bamboo for the flower and silver stone for the leaves…once dry, I die cut these images and adhered them to my card…

Then I die cut the word ‘you’ three times from black cardstock using the Altenew fine alphabet dies…I layered the die cuts and added them to my card just above the embossed sentiment strip which completes the sentiment for my card…
To embellish my card I have added some black Nuvo drops and applied some shimmer using my Spectrum Noir shimmer pen…

Two Cards – Anniversary & Congrats

The two cards I’m sharing today were very quick to make and in both these cards I have used techniques that I have learnt by watching Jennifer McGuire’s tutorials….in the anniversary cards with the cosmos flowers I did the fast watercolouring using the inpad directly on the image and for the congrats card I created the glazed distress oxide background using Distress Oxide inks and Distress Glaze on a glossy cardstock piece..

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I started my first card by creating the flowers for my card first…I stamped the flower heads using squeezed lemonade and seedless preserves Distress Oxide inks and heat embossed the images using a pearl embossing powder…next I applied some Oxide inks to these images directly from the ink pads -spiced marmalade and picked raspberry – and then used my water spritzer with some gold perfect pearls powder mixed with the water and spritzed the images…this made the colour flow all over the image and colour it automatically…once dry, I die cut these images and set them aside to add to the card later…

I cut out the front panel of my card from Bristol cardstock and sponged some salty ocean Oxide ink all over…I then stamped the flower stems using lucky clover Oxide ink and heat embossed them with pearl embossing powder as well…I then used blueprint sketch Oxide ink and the warp speed stencil to print the pattern just above the stems…I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment on this panel and adhered it to the card base…

Finally I adhered the flower heads to my card, using adhesive foam squares under a couple of them for a bit of dimension…and to embellish my card I have simply used clear Nuvo drops …

For my second card I have created yet another glazed Distress Oxide background ( I may be addicted to this technique)…I have used seedless preserves, candied apple and picked raspberry shades Oxide inks here…once the inks were dry, I quickly embossed the background using the WRMK geometric next level embossing powder and adhered this panel to the card base…

I die cut the word congrats three times from a thick white cardstock and once from white glitter cardstock and layered them before adhering them to the card…I also die cut two flowers and one leaf cluster from the same white cardstock…I die cut the topmost layer of these from white glitter cardstock as well and adhered them just above the die cut word…to embellish this card I have used some tiny rhinestones…

Alcohol Inks Rainbow Background – Happy Birthday Wishes

Last week we and our city suffered the after effects of almost record breaking downpour and really bad weather…one of our rooms got flooded too and my home has been a mess ever since…and it’s quite cold too..so I thought that a rainbow card was just what I needed to cheer me up…!!

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I simply dropped some alcohol inks on Yupo paper and set it aside to dry…..and once dry I cut it to size for a front panel and adhered it to a plain white card base…
Next, I die cut the word happy twelve times from thick white card stock so that I could layer the six die cuts that I needed for my card….I adhered these die cut words in a sort of a pattern on the card front…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I stamped and coloured in the bunny and the banner and then die cut them before adhering them to the card…I also added a die cut sentiment banner with ‘birthday wishes’ stamped on it…and finally to embellish my card I added quite a few white Nuvo drops…

You Are Mermazing

After doing a bit of rough layout planning,I started on this card…I wanted an underwater scene with the mermaid and the turtle and was going to keep the background plain blue…but at the last minute I added the underwater plant stamp all around the edges in a slightly darker blue shade…and I love how that one thing added so much to the scene…if only I would have more of the ‘light bulb’ moments..!! 🙂

So,once the background panel was covered in salty ocean Oxide ink,I stamped the plants all around with mermaid lagoon Oxide ink and then adhered this panel to a plain white card base…

On a separate piece of white cardstock, I stamped all the other images – some needed colouring and some didn’t…I then placed these cut out/die cut images on my card front and then stamped the sentiment,a cluster of small fish as well as a small red heart…
To embellish my card I have added a lot of clear Nuvo drops as they look like bubbles in water..

Watercoloured Dahlias For Altenew April Inspiration Challenge

I am always blown away by all the cards created by Erum Tasneem(Vibgyor Cards)..if you have seen her work, then you will agree that they are the most beautiful works of art….and I’ve made today’s card for this month’s Altenew Inspiration Challenge after being inspired by watching a video tutorial by her….

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
This is the image provided for the challenge and I chose the three colours highlighted from the picture…
I started by stamping the Altenew Dahlia flowers and leaves on watercolour cardstock using watermark ink and heat embossing all of  them with Altenew antique gold embossing powder…I coloured these images with a lot of water and some Peerlesss watercolours(bubble gum, amethyst, cobalt blue and grass green) as well as some Gansai Tambi blue gold watercolour for all that extra shimmer…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I added a gold foil front panel to my plain white card base and then die cut a smaller top panel from watercolour cardstock…I applied some amethyst Peerleess watercolour randomly to add some colour to the background and once dry,I splatter some black watercolour before adhering this panel to the card front..
Next,I placed all the coloured in flowers and leaves on my card and used foam squares under a few of them for a bit of dimension…I stamped and gold heat embossed the sentiment on a black strip of cardstock and added a thin gold strip below it before placing it on my card as well…and to embellish my card,I have added some black Nuvo drops here and there…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I need to practise my watercolouring quite a lot so I can get better results…it is on the top of my ‘to do’ list for this year…and I’ll be so happy if my watercolouring improves even a bit…
I’m glad you stopped by to take a look at my card….Hope you will have a beautiful day ahead…!!

With A Grateful Heart – Altenew Carnations For Timeout Challenge #107

I have used the stamps for my no.1 favourite flowers for making today’s card for the current timeout challenge…it took me a while to get my hands on this Altenew Carnation stamp set but  when I finally did,I stamped the very first flowers in shades of red which was just perfect for the yellow and teal stripy stencilled background….

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
My card is created for the theme of spring for this challenge but I wasn’t able to incorporate the optional twist of the one layer card this time…
I started by die cutting the front panel using a dotted rectangle die and then used the Altenew classy stripes stencil and Distress Inks to create the background…I have used squeezed lemonade and peacock feather shades here and also splattered some water for effect….I then adhered this panel to a plain white top fold card base..

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I stamped the layering Carnation flowers and leaves on a separate piece of white cardstock and die cut them using the coordinating dies..I have used various Altenew crisp dye inks for these….I also  stamped a few other flowery images from this stamp set using black ink and coloured them in with my markers before die cutting them as well…once I was happy with the layout of the flowers and leaves,I adhered them to my card…I have used some foam squares under one of the flowers for a bit of dimension…
I stamped and white heat embossed the sentiment on a black strip and adhered it to my card as well…and finally I have added some black Nuvo drops to embellish my card…

Thanks

I loved this paper from Lawn Fawn and immediately wanted to use it for my card background….but I had to make the right choice in terms of stamps, embellishments, etc. so that I didn’t end up with a card in which the background or the images look out of place or mismatched…so I took a good amount of time to choose carefully, but after that, the card came together pretty quickly..

I used the large cross stitched rectangle die to die cut the front panel and adhered it to a plain white card base…then on a separate piece of white cardstock I stamped the leaf images using Versamark ink and heat embossed them using some gold embossing powder…I coloured these embossed images with some Gansai Tambi gold watercolour and once dry,I die cut them with the coordinating dies…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I die cut the word ‘thanks’ using the big scripty word die from some white glitter cardstock as well as  twice from some white cardstock and layered them before adhering them to the card front…I then arranged the die cut leaves just above the sentiment..and finally to embellish my card I have added just three gold Nuvo drops…

Be Happy – Altenew March Inspiration Challenge

This month’s Altenew Challenge is by Virginia LuI really love her cardmaking style and my entry for the challenge is also inspired by her as she has created some cards with heat embossed flowers on vellum which look so very very beautiful….and that’s exactly what I did for my card..heat embossed some flowers…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

This is the image and colours for the challenge…

I cut watercolor cardstock to size for my front panel and used a piece of acetate, Altenew crisp dye inks and water spray bottle to create the background by simply smooshing the ink on paper…I have used aqualicious, coral bliss and sunkissed shades here…once dry,I used a postage stamp edge rectangle die to emboss the edges of my panel and then adhered it to a plain white card base…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

On a piece on vellum paper,I stamped a few Cosmos flowers using Versamark ink and then heat embossed it using gold embossing powder…I didn’t have the matching dies by then,so I simply cut them out…I carefully adhered these flowers to my front panel by using a liquid glue just behind the embossed areas so it wouldn’t show…
Next,I die cut the word ‘BE’ three times from thick cardstock using bold caps die and layered them together…I sponged some coral bliss ink on it before adhering it the the card front..I gold heat embossed  the rest of the sentiment on a small white strip and sponged aqualicious ink on it to stick to the colours in the challenge..and finally I added some gold Nuvo drops to embellish my card…
