Camp Create Day 4 + Bonus Bonfire – Monochromatic Magic & Awesome Ombre
For the Monochromatic Magic technique, I chose a textured pink cardstock for the card base and die cut the top layer from white cardstock…then using my Misti and the candles from Make A Wish stamp set,I covered the a bottom section of the candles with abandoned coral Distress Oxide ink and stamped it on the white panel…similarly,I used picked raspberry and worn lipstick for the rest of the candles and the flame…I used the abandoned coral shade again to stamp the hearts in the flame and used some glossy accents on them for a bit of dimension…
The sentiment was much easier to create…I die cut the sentiment from white cardstock and used the same shades of Distress inks and the mini ink blending tool to create the ombre effect on it.. die cut the sentiment again from white craft foam and adhered the two before placing them on the card…
I also added craft foam under the top panel before adhering it to the card base…I have used a few sparkling clear sequins to embellish my card…
For participating in Day 4 of MFT Camp Create I have earned this badge…
The second technique was shared in the Camp Create Bonus Bonfire….it was great to learn how Stephanie created her cards using the ombre technique to create the background as well as colour in the images…I had already used Distress Inks for my previous few cards,so I decided to use some watercolors to create this card…
I started by creating the blue ombre background for the front panel of my card…I saturated the watercolor cardstock panel with water first and then started adding blue Peerless Watercolor slowly from the base upwards so that the colour lightens toward the top section…once dry,I die cut this panel and adhered it to a plain white card base…

Atlenew Decoupage Flowers – A Card & A Tag
I made a card using Altenew Dahlia Blossoms stamp set and halftone stencil as well as a tag using the Altenew Beautiful Day stamp set…and even in the pictures you can see that the flowers give a dimensional look…
For the card I chose a dark coloured card base and die cut the top layer using white cardstock and a pierced rectangle die….I then used the hafltone stencil and broken china Distress Oxide ink to print the pattern lightly onto the top layer, making sure not to cover the whole panel…
On a separate piece of cardstock,I stamped and coloured each of the flower images twice using Peerless watercolour..I also stamped and coloured in a few leaves….once dry,I cut out the leaves and one each of the flowers…then to create the decoupage layer,I cut out the inner layer of the second flower and adhered it to the main flower using foam squares…
I adhered the leaves and the dimensional flowers to the card front, added the sentiment on a small panel and adhered some rhinestones to embellish my card…and finally,I added a bit of shimmer by using my Spectrum Noir sparkle marker…
Here is a close-up shot of the flowers…

You Are My Happy Place – Time Out Challenge #88
There was some great inspiration provided by the DT….I looked at all of their beautiful cards and decided to use a die cut sun as well as a rainbow background and a happy sentiment…this is how I interpreted the quote to create my card…
Thank you for taking the time and visiting my blog today…Have a wonderful day ahead…!!
POST EDIT – Just wanted to share that my card for the last Time Out Challenge was chosen to get ‘Honours at Taking Time Out’…yayyy..!!
Easy Stamp Painting – Two Cards,Two Techniques
For my first card I chose a lime green card base and die cut the top layer from watercolour cardstock….now for the fun part….I used the detail stamps from a rose layering stamp and and various Distress inks to stamp directly on the top layer….I used one colour at a time and with a water brush I quickly painted on the stamped area, spreading the ink out and painting a flower shape…I used my heat gun to dry the images and repeated the stamping and painting with other colours…I have used picked raspberry, spiced marmalade, candied apple, mustard seed and mowed lawn shades of Distress inks…
To add the gold splatter I had to roughly mask the painted section……I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment on a green label and layered it with a gold glitter label before adhering it to the top layer…
Finally before adhering the top layer to the card base,I ran the it through my Cuttlebug using a large rectangle cross stitch die…
I used a different…and much simpler idea for my second card….most of you would take one look at it and know exactly what I did to get the hand painted look in this card…
On a piece of watercolour cardstock,I stamped the dahlia and leaves outline images using a very light distress ink….I used a thin paintbrush and Peerless watercolours to paint on top of these stamped outlines…and my painting was done…tell me if I’m wrong but I think it looks hand painted.. 🙂
I then splattered some purple paint on the rest of the card and die cut the words ‘love & hugs’ from it…I then die cut the same words from orange craft foam and adhered it all back onto the card…to embellish my card I have used a few metallic orange sequins…
Scrapbook Boutique MAY Challenge – Two Cards
For my first card I chose a plain white card base and watercolour paper top layer…I first coloured in the whole background with light pink water colour and gave it a bit of ombre effect(which you can’t really see in the picture)..once dry,I repeat stamped the snowing stamp using Versamark ink and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder…I also smudged some ink on all sides of the top layer and heat embossed that with gold embossing powder as well…
On a separate piece of watercolour paper,I stamped the freesias using pink dye ink and then again with Versamark ink and heat embossed them using clear embossing powder…my Misti came in super handy for this…I coloured in the flowers using Peerless watercolours and cut them out and placed them on the card…
I stamped the sentiment on a small white label and layered it with a gold label and die cut some sequins to embellish this card…I also used my Spectrum Noir sparkle pen to make the flowers glitter and shine..
For my second card I chose a white base as well and die cut watercolour cardstock for the top layer using stitched rectangle die and then stamped the fairy stamp on it….I masked the fairy and then created another paper mask using one of my border dies and masked the top section of the card…
I used raspberry sorbet and spun sugar Distress Inks to cover the unmasked section and then removed all the masks…using watercolour pencils and my blender pen,I coloured in just a few sections of the stamped image…
I stamped the sentiment and punched a few small butterflies using gold foil cardstock to embellish the card…
Here’s a close up shot of my cards….I love this pink white and gold combination…
