For You Card

So today I’m sharing the second card I made using the other ombre watercolour background that I was talking about in my previous post….in the last one I had used warm colours so for this one I chose cool colours grey, blue and purple…
I followed the technique shown by Kristina Werner  for creating the ombre background..it’s a great tutorial and I have been amazed at my results…Kristina is an excellent teacher…
Once dry,I cut the top layer to size and embossed the it using the WRMK embossing folder..I also splattered a bit of white paint for effect….I then adhered this top layer to a plain white card base..
Using the leftover bit of paper from the top layer,I die cut the sentiment and placed it on the middle of the card…then on a separate piece of cardstock,I stamped, coloured in and and cut out the little bunny and flower cart images and placed these on the card as well…
To embellish the card I have used some silver sequins and I have used glossy accents on the images for a bit of shine…
Thanks for stopping by to take a look at my card….Have lovely & blessed day ahead…!!

Make A Wish – Ombre Watercolour Background

I saw this technique to create ombre watercolour background in December last year…most of you who follow Kristina Werner would remember the fabulous set of cards she made on Day 25 of her Holiday Card Series….and it has taken me this long to try it out…she has an excellent tutorial with her post and I was so happy with my results that I made two different ombre backgrounds but chose this  bright one to make a card with first…
I chose a white card base and followed Kristina’s tutorial to create the ombre background on watercolor paper…and the watercolors I have used are Peerless watercolors….once the paint was dry,I splattered some metallic gold  paint on it….I love the shine from the gold paint…and finally I ran the top layer through my cuttlebug to emboss it…
I die cut the words ‘make a wish’ and a few stars using gold foil cardstock and placed them onto the card…
The little fairy has been stamped, coloured in,cut out and covered with a bit of glossy accents before being placed on the card as well…
Thanks so much for visiting my blog today…Happy crafting…!!

Two Watercoloured Flower Cards

The cards I’m sharing today are my first few attempts at trying out the no line colouring technique..I have been very curious about it and wanted to see if I could get a hang of it….I would not consider these as examples of this technique…coz I don’t think I got the right results….but I did like the results and made a good couple of cards from them…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade Card by PriCreated
My first card has a bright pink card base and a watercolour paper top layer…I used a light pink distress ink and stamped the flower images on the top layer…then using a pink and green watercolour pencil I traced all the stamped edges…I also lightly coloured the stamped images and used a water brush to colour in the stamps…

I stamped the large sentiment stamp using Versamark ink and heat embossed it using gold embossing powder and rounded two opposing corners of my card…I have embellished the card using tiny pink and green sequins…

Here is my second go at the same technique…the card base is lavender and the top layer has been cut to size using watercolor paper…

I have again used a very light distress ink to stamp the large roses and a couple of leaves….then using a water brush and Peerless watercolors,I coloured in the all the stamped images…

I stamped and cut out the sentiment and placed it on the card…and to embellish the card I used Nuvo crystal drops…

Sloth Thanks Card

My elder daughter is a big ‘sloth’ fan…and I knew the minute I saw this super cute Sweet Sloths stamp set by MFT that I had to get this one for her(well that’s what I told myself…ha ha..)
I have used a white card base and die cut watercolor cardstock to size using the largest rectangle stitched die…I then stamped the sloth image on the top layer and masked it using masking fluid….I left the stamp as is on my Misti stamping tool so I could stamp the image again once my colouring was done…
Once the masking fluid was dry I used Peerless watercolours to create the background….after removing the making fluid,I coloured in the sloth using Spectrum Noir markers and re-stamped the image….I then stamped the sentiment on the top layer..
To embellish this card I have used small green sequins as well as glossy accents on the image…

Celebrate & Enjoy Your Special Day – Two Cards

Today I’m sharing  two cards…and I think the only common thing with these two is that I have used coloured cardstock to create the card base for them…this year I really want to focus on getting my heat embossing a bit better(so I’m not scared of ruining my cards anymore)….and also want to practice using alphabet stamps to create my own messages on cards…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade Card by PriCreated
For my first card base I chose a bright red card base and a white top layer….on the top layer,I used a stencil and some distress inks to print the dotted background – making sure I leave enough blank space at the bottom for the sentiment…
I stamped the large ‘celebrate’ word using Versamark ink and Avery Elle Big Greetings stamp set and heat embossed that using gold embossing powder…I also stamped a lot of stars and heat embossed them too…
Finally I added a border at the base of the top layer using red ink and a few gold star sequins to finish the card..

For my second card I chose and aqua green coloured card base and a watercolour paper top layer…I first stamped the large flower from Altenew Beautiful Day stamp set all around the edges of the cardstock and coloured them all in using Peerless watercolors….

I covered the center area with a greenish colour and stamped the sentiment using Mama Elephant Calli Letters alphabet stamps…I do need a lot more practice with these stamps….but they are one of the best ones I’ve used yet…

I couldn’t decide how to embellish this card so I just used a metallic silver marker and added a few dots near the flowers..

Word Window Card & Sentiment Backdrop Card

Continuing my technique learning theme from yesterday, I tried out two cards following tutorials by Jennifer McGuire….here are the results…
For my first card I followed her Word Window Card tutorial….I have used a lavender card base and a white top layer…I stamped the flower and leaves stamps on the top layer and coloured them in using Peerless watercolors….
I then used a Happy Anniversary word die and die cut the word on the top layer as well as the front of the card…I adhered a strip of acetate behind the top layer die cut area and then adhered the top layer to the card base…and the card was ready with a see through word element…
I have used a lot of clear sequins to embellish this card…

For my second card I followed Jennifer’s tutorial for creating Sentiment Backdrops…this is a great technique for creating cards with no layers….

On a white card base,I stamped the large cupcake stamp and coloured it in…I also stamped the sentiment using black ink just under the cupcake stamp…I then masked the cupcake and used green dye ink to repeatedly stamp the main sentiment on the card…I used my MISTI for this card as it makes the repeat stamping process much easier….

Then all I had to do was to remove the mask and embellish with a few green sequins and the card was ready…

Say It With Flowers – Two Cards

Today I am sharing two cards….The first one is a simple thank you card with a lacy background and the second one has a very bright and colourful background….the one thing that both these cards have in common is that I have used border stamps to create the background…
For the first card I chose a dark pink card base and a white top layer….using a slate coloured ink I stamped the border image at the top and the bottom of the white top layer….the MISTI came in very handy at this point as I could easily re-stamp to cover any areas that got missed…
Using the same ink,I stamped the sentiment in the middle….then on a separate piece of cardstock I stamped the flowers using pink distress ink and the leaves using green…I sponged in the flowers and leaves with the same distress inks that I stamped them with…I cute these out and placed them on the card…
I have used a few pink sequins to embellish this card…

My second card has a light mustard coloured card base and a bright yellow mat layer….the top layer is plain white and I have created a background using Clearly Besotted Basic Stripes stamp set and various colours of bright dye inks..

On a separate piece of cardstock I stamped the mason jar and flowers, coloured them in using Peerless watercolors and die cut them using the coordinating dies…I then placed these on the top layer…

I have stamped the sentiment on a strip of cardstock and placed it on the mason jar….and to embellish the card I have used blue sequins…

To Celebrate You!

I had created this geometric background top layer for a different card but that wasn’t working quite well so I held on to it until I could make a better card using it…I was still a bit unsure about using it with the flowers, but once I had coloured them in,it looked pretty good…
The card base is plain yellow and the top layer has been die cut using watercolour cardstock and cross stitched rectangle die…I then sponged in various shades of yellow distress inks to cover the  top layer…I printed the geometric pattern using a craft stencil and orange distress ink…
On a separate piece of cardstock,I stamped the flowers and jar from the Stampendous – Bouquet For You stamp set and coloured them in using Peerless watercolours…I die cut these two using the coordinating dies from the set and placed them onto the card…
The sentiment has been stamped on a small strip of yellow cardstock and I have used a few sequins to embellish the card…

Sending Happy Thoughts

I have surprised myself today with how neatly I was able to fussy cut the stamped flowers layer for this card….well, neater than usual…so I’m pretty happy about it… 🙂
The card base is plain white and the top layer is plain pistachio green….I have stamped the sentiment using pink ink at the center of the top layer….
On a separate piece of white cardstock same width as the top layer,I stamped the peony flowers using black ink…I did use a mask for some of the flowers in order to stamp the images closely and/or overlap the images…using Peerless watercolors,I  coloured in the flowers and once they were dry I fussy cut around one side to cut off the excess and adhered the cut out on the top layer…
To embellish the card I have used a few pink sequins…
