Colourful Congratulations Card

Today I am sharing a colourful card that took next to no time to create….all I had to do was to repeat stamp the large sentiment a few times…I was going to call it the rainbow card but my daughters pointed out that the colours Yellow and Indigo are missing so it doesn’t have all the rainbow colours…kids these days…ha ha… čÖé
I started with a bright yellow card base and a white top layer….I chose the word ‘congratulations’ from the Avery Elle Sentimental stamp set and repeat stamped it in 6 different colours…I then adhered the top layer to the card base…
On a separate piece of cardstock I stamped, coloured in and cut out the little girl image and placed it on the card….I have used clear sequins in various sizes to embellish the card…
Do you like simple and quick cards??I like them a lot….
Thanks for stopping by today to take a look at my card…Have a blessed day ..!!

PS Woofers And Tweeters – For My Best Pal

I’m sure I will be using the Paper Smooches Woofers And Tweeters stamp set quite a lot but for now this is the last of the 6 cards that I have made using it….I have spent a bit of time on this card and created the colourful background for this card using distress inks and a fun technique taught by Jennifer McGuire called – Masked Stripes
The card base is plain orange and the top layer is white on which I have created the stripes using distress inks…I then die cut three polaroid frames from white cardstock and stuck them together and used a photo sleeve to create the shaker element which I placed behind the polaroid frame….
The sentiment is stamped directly on the polaroid frame….I have cut out a coloured in image of the cute dog and placed a few presents on the tip of its nose and placed these on top of the shaker pocket….
I really like how the colourful stripy background turned out….hope you do too…
Thanks for visiting today…Have a lovely & blessed day ahead….Happy crafting…!!

Thinking About You Card

There is such a huge range of embellishments available these days for all sort of paper crafts….I don’t use too many different types of embellishments but a few years ago I had bought these flower die cut by Kaisercraft and added them mostly to my scrapbooks pages but decided to use them in a card today…
The card base is a light olive green and the top layer is plain cream colour…I ┬árounded all four corners of the base and the top layer…I then die cut a polaroid frame and created a background for it and added the little girl image on it…
Before placing the polaroid frame onto the card,I placed three flower die cut shapes behind it…I stamped the sentiment on the top layer with red dye ink and adhered a few red rhinestones to decorate the card…
Thanks for stopping by to take a look at my card today…Happy crafting..!!

Card Using Birthday Cake Digi by Cre8tive Hands

Today I’m sharing a card with yet another super cute image by Michelle Kierznowski.…I loved the little rabbit looking from behind the huge cake…I coloured in the digi with my Spectrum Noir markers and cut it out so I could place it on a black die cut polaroid frame….I have gold heat embossed the sentiment directly on the frame…
Now that the main element of the card was ready,I started assembling the card…the card base is plain light green and the top layer has been cut out from gold cardstock…I then placed a strip each of black and gold glitter cardstock on one side of the top layer…I placed a gold doily near the top and then adhered the polaroid frame above it at an angle….
I die cut a few sequins from the same green cardstock and embellished the card with them as well as gold adhesive pearls to finish the card…..

This card was a mixed bag in terms of how I wanted it to turn out….though still quite close to how I planned it, one step didn’t give good results and another one turned out fantastic….
The card base is plain black 4.5 x 5.75 inches…the top layer is made from watercolour cardstock on which I have used a stars stencil to dab Versamark ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder…somehow the stars didn’t come out that well and that was a bit of a disappointment but I carried on…..I then washed the top layer with three shades of blue and let it dry….
Then I prepared the Polaroid frame for the sentiment….since the sentiment was a bit wider than the original frame,I die cut only half the die and moved it a bit and cut the rest of it….this is a technique I have seen in quite a few tutorials by┬áJennifer McGuire…I hadn’t tried it much and when I saw the results,I was extremely pleased…I used a grey paper as the backing of the frame and stamped the sentiment on it…
I then used a small paperclip to attach a note paper with the Polaroid frame and attached these to the card…I have used a few silver star sequins to decorate the card as well…
Hope you liked this card…

Post#101 – Love You Polaroid Card

I wanted to make a card with a lot of colours in it but at the same time I wanted those colours to not take too much space on the card so it doesn’t look too full…
So I started with a plain white cardstock for the card base….then I die cut two small polaroid frames from aqua and pink cardstock…I attached a printed yellow and white grid print paper for the aqua frame and added a red punched heart and you word on it….For the pink frame I simply used a white watercolour paper and coloured it in with peerless watercolors…
I attached both the polaroid frames to the card and added a few sequins here and there as well…
Hope you like this card….

Post#91 Paris card using Stampers Anonymous Cityscapes Set

I am very excited to share my third project using the Cityscapes stamp set…The cityscape stamp I used for this card was of Paris….
For this card I chose a greyish silver glitter cardstock for the card base…I stamped the Paris cityscape on vellum paper and flipped it over to colour in the sky and the buildings with distress inks…then I attached this vellum section to a polaroid die cut…I also attached a glitter banner with a vellum banner on the polaroid frame to add the sentiment…
This card didn’t need much else so I simply attached the polaroid frame to the cards base and added a few silver star sequins to it…
Hope you liked this card as much as I do…Thanks for stopping by to take a look…

This time when I wanted to use a Polaroid frame die cut on a card,I thought to make things easy for myself and do the layout like a scrapbook page….
The card is a square white and the top layer had been created using a stencil and distress inks….then a couple of die cut hearts were added and then the Polaroid frame…the word xoxo was cut out of the frame and another one in red added in its place…and lastly the sentiment was placed at the top which is in the shape of an arrow…
I have again used vellum paper to stamp the Fizzy Moon stamp and coloured it in and then added to the back of the picture frame…
Hope you like it.

I have a couple of these Polaroid dies and before now I’ve have not been able to come up with a good design for them….
On a textured white card base I added a camera print paper…this part was easy…then I die cut the Polaroid die 3 times and stuck them together to give a bit of dimension…at the back of the frame I added a piece of vellum paper which I stamped, heat embossed and coloured in…lastly,I added a sentiment at the top which bring all the layers together…
Thank you for visiting my blog.
Hope you liked this card.
