Hugs & Kisses Card

I have seen a lot of card makers add white die cuts on a a white base and wanted to give that a try today….I even surprised myself with my own patience with this project and the neatness of end result…. 🙂

The card base is a plain blue and the mat layer is a stripy dark pink and white printed paper…the top layer is plain white and I have die cut the words ‘hugs & kisses’ twice using the same white cardstock and placed them carefully on the top layer…

I then die cut the XOXO using a very bright red cardstock and placed it near the base of the top layer…and placed a coloured in and cut out image of a little girl and a small dog next to it as well as a little birdie perched above one of the O…

Lots Of Layers Card

Today’s card has been inspired by a scrapbook layout I did a while back…I don’t usually add this many layers in my cards but I do like to try different things once in a while…

The card base is plain white but I have cut the striped top layer the same size as the card front….the polka dot layer above is smaller and I have adhered it at an angle….on the top white layer I have die cut two speech bubbles and added vellum paper behind it before adding yet another heart print and then stamped the sentiments on the vellum…

I the cut out four strips of paper in various widths and lengths and used my banner punch to create banners before adhering those to the card….finally I added a button with bakers twine and a few die cut sequins to decorate the card…

Post#196 – Clutch Bag Style Gift Box

This box does look like a clutch bag,doesn’t it??I haven’t made boxes in a while because I’m running out of space to keep them….but I ‘had’ to try this one out… 🙂

It’s an excellent tutorial and the box is quite a good size and looks so pretty…..

I have used a plain aqua cardstock for the top cover and a double sided printed paper for making the inside base of the box…The ribbon matches the box cover and so do the adhesive pearls that I used to decorate the box…
