Bright & Colourful Goody Bags

I think the most gift wrapping and packaging anyone does at one time has got to be at Christmastime…and because you just can’t wrap every single thing with wrapping paper(trust me,I’ve tried…ha ha..),you would need boxes or bags or other such stuff…and my no.1 favorite website to find tutorials and measurements for all kinds of packaging is the Pootles blog…
Today I’m sharing goody bags I created following this tutorial uploaded by Sam last month – Tall Festive Bag
I chose the most bright and colourful printed paper I had for these bags keep the festive theme going…
Once the bags were ready, I used my triple banner punch to create two banners for each bag…on the top banner I stamped the lovely sentiments from lawn Fawn stamp set called Merry Messages..
Thank you so much for visiting my blog today…Have a great day ahead….!!

Cre8tive Hands Fans FB Challenge – Goody Bag

Another challenge has started on the Cre8tive Hands Fans Facbeook Group today…The watering can image is very cute…I could’ve made a card for this one but decided to make a goody bag…maybe a little something for a keen gardener…with some seasonal seeds in it…

I have followed the tutorial by Sam Donald on Pootles.co.uk….the dimensions for the box and video tutorial are on her blog so here’s the link for her Pretty Petals Gift Bag Box….I have made this box many times…it’s great for small gifts or treats like chocolates, cookies etc…

I have used a blue cardstock for the box and a printed lavender DSP for the front….The digi has been coloured in using Spectrum Noir Markers and placed on a bright yellow base mat….I have also stamped and cut out the sentiment banner and threaded it through the ribbon…

Folded Birthday Card

I’ve had the tutorial for this card bookmarked for such a long time and I wish I had tried it out sooner….it was so easy and fun to make and I love the unique folding technique..
Here is the link for the instructions and video tutorial by Dawn – Amazing Fold Card

I started with a square dark lavender cardstock and got the card base folded as per the instructions in the tutorial video….once that was ready,I stamped on the inside of the card and prepared the layers for the inside sections…

On the front of the card I have used a few mat layers and a final stamped top layer on which I have placed the sentiment as well…this top layer is adhered by using adhesive sponge squares as the ribbon needs to be threaded underneath it to close the card…

This card was so much fun to try….I hope you too are having fun crafting today…

2 Cards – 1st Using Chalks & 2nd Using Paper Weaving Technique

I’ll be sharing two cards today….On the first one I have used craft chalks to colour in and for the second card I have tried out paper weaving but probably didn’t get quite right with the colours I’ve used….
I have used Kraft cardstock as the base for the first card and a light pink mat….I again used Kraft cardstock as the top layer and stamped the banner with white ink…once the ink was dry,I used an aqua brush to lift chalk and and colour in…
I then stamped the sentiment on on pink banner and adhered it to the card and decorated it with some adhesive white pearls…

Now for this second card,I have created a paper weaving background….I cut equal long strips from two different printer papers and started weaving…I really enjoyed this part….

The card base is green and there is a mat layer of black cardstock…and then placed the weaved top layer….I stamped the sentiment with white ink on a black banner and decorated the card with copper coloured sequins…

I do hope you liked the cards that I’ve shared today….Hopefully I can do better next time with chalk and weaving techniques…

Thanks for stopping by to take a look…

I love how this gift bag turned out so I’m really happy to share this with you today….
I have followed the tutorial by the fabulous Sam Donald and made this gift bag…It’s a huge one and can hold heaps of stuff….Here’s the link for her tutorial – It’s My Party Huge Bag
Now I had to change the top folding part in the video….and that was because Sam has used a double sided paper which looks really pretty when folded out at the top….but I’ve used one sided printed paper and didn’t want the plain white to show outside….so I’ve simply skipped that step, and folded the top part downwards and tied a string around it…
I have used two shades of green cardstock for the front panel….the top panel has a gold heat embossed message….and to decorate the panel I have punched out and adhered three small flowers from peach cardstock…
Hope you like my version of the bag…

I have this printed paper with hearts and ‘hello’ printed in various languages and I was going to use it as the top layer for this card….it would’ve looked good but I changed my mind and decided to cut out all the words and place them individually on the top layer of the card…
I started with a pale pink card base and a white top layer….After stamping the typewriter at the base of the top layer,I randomly stamped hearts with light pink ink….I also coloured in the typewriter and stamped a heart and the word ‘Hey’ on it…
I rounded only two corners of each of the cut outs and sponged them with tattered rose distress ink before placing them on the card…I used the same distress ink to sponge the top layer and the card base…
White adhesive pearls have been used as the only embellishments on this card…
Hope you liked it…

Post#147 Glitter & Butterfly Birthday Card

After using a lot of glitter cardstock for my projects,I had a fair bit of scraps left over…even though they were not very useful pieces,I held on to them until I came up with a way to use those…and then I saw  my sequin dies..and here’s the card….
The base and top layer of this card is plain white…..I die cut two different sizes of butterflies….the large one is die cut from pink glitter cardstock and the small one using silver cardstock which I have embossed as well….. I layered them before adhering to the card….
Then I stuck all the sequins dies cuts above the butterfly…..at the base of the card,I have used silver heat embossing powder with Versamark ink to stamp the ‘Happy Birthday’ message…
I thought to use a nice printed paper to create an envelope for this card using the WRMK 1 2 3 punch board….
Hope you liked this card…

Post#102 – Self Closing Angled Box

I am a big fan of boxes and bags which don’t need a fiddly attachment in order to close and open them…..so when I saw this tutorial for a self closing box by Dawn Griffith…I had to try it out…
At first I thought that with all these angles it must be a bit tricky but I was surprised at how very easy it is to make this box…and you can make 2 boxes from a sheet of 12″ x 12″ cardstock…
The excellent video tutorial and measurements for this box can be found here – Self Closing Box by Dawn
I kept the decorations simple and just added two banners and stamped on the top one and added a butterfly punch..
Hope you liked this box….I also hope you will try this one out….

This is one of the cutest boxes that I’ve made….and yes I made this by following a tutorial by Sam Donald…it’s great for holding a few chocolates or treats or a small item…
It’s a triangle shaped box that opens at the top and the outside case/cover shaped like a tent closes the box nicely…and that means there are no ribbons or other things required to close the box…
I chose a plain grey cardstock for the box and a green and grey printed  paper for the cover…to decorate the box I made a narrow silver banner and added a stamped and punched flower and added the sentiment on a circle at the top…
Hope you liked how my box turned out…
