The Three Amigos – Happy Birthday

The card I’m sharing today had been planned out quite a while back but I never got around to creating it….so this time when I pulled out the Three Amigos stamp set to create a birthday card,I remembered my idea sketch just in time..

On a plain white top panel,I adhered leaves that I die cut from white cardstock using MFT Wild Greenery die set…once the whole panel was covered,I used a dotted rectangle die to die cut the panel as well as get rid of all the excess parts of the die cut leaves…I then adhered this panel to a plain white card base…

On a separate piece of white card cardstock,I stamped the three critters and coloured them in using Spectrum Noir markers and then cut them out and placed them on the card front…

To embellish this card I have simply added some clear Nuvo drops…

Gold Embossed Congratulations Card

One of my crafty resolutions for this year is to practice and get better at heat embossing…so every now and then I keep reminding myself about it…and today I patiently sat down to create this card which not only has heat embossing but also a lot of masking as you can see that quite a few of the images are overlapped…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I started with a watercolour cardstock panel and created a few masks for the flowers that were overlapping on my design layout…I then did my stamping and heat embossed the flower outline images using gold embossing powder…I also embossed a few flowers on vellum paper and coloured them pink and kept them aside to use later…
I then cut this design into two pieces and adhered a pink strip of gold embossed sentiment in the middle…to get this panel to for the card front,I simply ran it through my Cuttlebug using a stitched rectangle die..
Finally I used some Distress inks to watercolour the white areas above and below the embossed flowers…I used mermaid lagoon, peacock feather and cracked pistachio Distress ink shades mixed with a bit of water…once dry,I adhered this panel to the front of a plain white card and adhered the pink vellum flowers as well..

The Merry Snowmen

It’s summers in Australia at the moment and becomes a bit hard to imagine snowfall and snowmen at Christmastime…but there is no shortage of Christmas joy, celebrations and happiness in the holiday season here….all the primary and secondary school children will finish their school year in a weeks time and are looking forward to summer holidays before the new session/grade begins at the end of January…people and businesses had already started putting up decorations a month ago…
Today I’m sharing a cheerful card with three cute snowmen…the card base is plain lavender and I have die cut watercolour cardstock to size using the largest stitched rectangle die…then I used distress inks, water and a piece of acetate to smoosh the ink onto the top layer..I also splattered quite a bit of purple ink and set it adise to dry …
Using the hillside borders die,I created three hills in various shades of blue and adhered them to the top layer…I stamped, coloured in and cut out the three snowmen and placed them on the card..
The sentiment has been stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed using a purple embossing powder…and finally I have used purple snowflake die cuts and a few rhinestones to embellish this card…
Thanks a lot for visiting my blog today…Hope you will have a great day ahead….Happy crafting..!!

Christmas Large Tag

A beautiful tag on a Christmas present always adds to the excitement….my younger daughter loves getting presents in big boxes…and a big present needs a large tag…so today I’m sharing the very first tag I have made for Christmas this year…and it’s a large one..
The tag base has been die cut using watercolour cardstock and the largest tag die from the MFT die-namics traditional tags stax…I sponged in some distress inks for the background and sprinkled some water for effect…and once dry,I stamped the Christmas tree and snowflakes on the tag…
Using silver foil cardstock and two of the largest tag dies I created a frame for my tag…I also embossed it using the Swiss Dots embossing folder and adhered it to the tag…I embellished the tree using Nuvo crystal drops and the snowflakes using tiny blue rhinestones…
The sentiment was stamped on a separate piece of cardstock…I cut it out and used some foam tape to adhere it to the tag….and finally I added a silver ribbon to complete the tag…
Thank you so much for taking the time and visiting my blog today…Have a wonderful day ahead…!!

Happy Bird-day

This is officially the last week of spring in Australia…it has been a rather wet, cold and windy one for the south-east of the country but hopefully we should see a good summer…days are getting longer and that means there is good light to plan or finish a few projects…
Today I’m sharing a ‘bird-day’ card I have made using another very cute Clearly Besotted stamp set called Bird Bath…the card base is made from a textured green cardstock and the top layer is plain white…
I started by firstly sponging in some green distress ink for the grass and then using a cloud mask and blue distress ink,I added a few clouds….I then stamped the birds and the bird bath using black ink….
Once the colouring in was complete,I stamped the sentiment and adhered the top layer to the card base….I used a few rhinestones to embellish the card…
Thank you so much for taking the time and visiting my blog today…Hope you will have a wonderful day ahead…!!

Colourful Thank You Card

The was one of the easiest and most fun colourful background I’ve made recently….and no prizes for guessing what ink I’ve used…Distress inks of course…!!
I have used a blue cardstock for the card base and water colour cardstock for the top layer…then I used a 1” circle punch and some scrap copy paper and created a few stencils…I could’ve used an acetate sheet for the same…but it was much faster and convenient with paper…
Using bright distress ink colours and the paper stencils,I started printing the pattern on the top layer…I then stamped, heat embossed and die cut the sentiment….coloured in and cut out a little fairy image…and placed both of them on the card…I have used a few rhinestones to embellish this card…
I’m so glad and thankful you stopped by to take a look at my card….Hope you will have a beautiful day ahead…!!

HAPPY DIWALI

Wishing you and your family a very Happy Diwali and a prosperous year ahead…!!
Diwali is one of the most important Hindu festival – also known as the festival of lights…since Diwali is always on a no moon day, after the evening prayers everyone lights up their homes with lots of oil lamps, candles and other light displays…every family has their own set of rituals and celebrations to make this festival special…
My Diwali card is a shaker card….the card base is plain white and so is the top layer….I have die cut the top layer using the largest stitched rectangle die….then stamped the paisley stamp repeatedly using Ranger cheese puff dye ink….
I cut out a rectangular section from the top layer and adhered a gold scalloped frame around the cut out area…I then added a piece of acetate from the back…then using craft foam,I created the shaker section, added sequins and closed it with a piece of  cardstock…this was adhered to the card base and then the top layer…
I created the traditional oil lamp using glitter and foil cardstock and added it on top of the shaker window…the sentiment has simply been printed out,cut to size and placed on the card as well…I have also added a few tiny red rhinestones on the card..
Thank you for visiting my blog today….Hope your day is happy and blessed..!!

You’re Purrfect – Two Cards

Going through my stamps,I realised that on two of the stamp sets by different brands I had the same sentiment and a cute cat image…so I decided to make two cards using these…
For the first card I have used the You’re Purrfect stamp set by Clearly Besotted….I started with a white card base and a plain white top layer…on the top layer I first applied three different distress inks very lightly and then using the same colours and a stencil,I applied the distress inks again….a bit darker this time…
On a separate piece of cardstock I stamped, coloured in and cut out the kitten and cushion and placed it on the center of the card…Finally I stamped the sentiment and adhered a tiny red heart and a few sequins on the card…

For my second card I chose a bright pink card base and a white top layer…I stamped the cute cat image from Paper Smooches Chubby Chums stamp set and masked it with a slightly bigger mask than the stamped image…then I lightly sponged around the image using Picked Raspberry distress ink…

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment and added some pink sequins and tiny rhinestones to embellish the card….

Mirror Stamping

Over the years I have tried out mirror stamping technique so many times but it never worked for me before….maybe I wasn’t using the right ink or not doing something the right way…and it was frustrating because sometimes you just want something stamped facing the other way for the card to make sense….and this is one more quality of the MISTI stamping tool that it lets you do the mirror stamping so easily…
I have followed this tutorial by Jennifer McGuire for mirror stamping the giraffe image on my card –  Mirror stamping tutorial
The card base for my card is plain brown and the top layer has been die cut using a stitched rectangle die…I then used distress inks in various shades of green to create the background on the top layer…..
On a smaller die cut Vellum panel,I stamped a large heart image and the sentiment using Versamark ink and heat embossed it using red embossing powder…
I glued four white rhinestones on the vellum panel…that hid the glue dots that I have used to secure the panel on the top layer…lastly,I placed the two giraffe images and a little gold heart on the red heat embossed heart and the card was ready…
