Love You – Tag On A Card

Today I’m sharing a simple card but I have tried out a technique on the background…I don’t know if this technique has a proper name…I have inked the stamp once and stamped thrice…the second and third stamping is much lighter but is still visible and gives a nice effect…
I chose a plain light pink card base….and the top layer is plain white….after stamping the bottom two layers with red and purple ink,I used pink dye ink to create the rest of the background…
Once the background was ready,I stamped and die cut a tag from vellum paper and another tag from pink glitter cardstock…tied a ribbon bow at the top and placed it on the middle of the card…
Hope you liked this card…

Cute Purse Style Box

The first time I tried this box out years ago,I didn’t quite get it right and probably didn’t have the patience to understand and execute the design properly….so I’m very glad Sam(from Pootles)made this very box/purse again for the way back wednesday theme that she’s been doing at her blog these days….
Here’s the link for the tutorial by Sam Hammond – Way Back Wednesday Easy Stick Purse Tutorial
It’s a very cute little purse box and can hold quite a bit inside it….for my box I have used a plain pink cardstock for the base and the top layer paper is from Stampin Up! DSP stack called It’s My Party…
I hope you liked this box and will give it a try yourself too….

Post#196 – Clutch Bag Style Gift Box

This box does look like a clutch bag, doesn’t it??I haven’t made boxes in a while because I’m running out of space to keep them….but I ‘had’ to try this one out… 🙂
You’ll find the excellent tutorial by Caroline here – Clutch Bag Gift Box Tutorial
It’s an excellent tutorial and the box is quite a good size and looks so pretty…..
I have used a plain aqua cardstock for the top cover and a double sided printed paper for making the inside base of the box…The ribbon matches the box cover and so do the adhesive pearls that I used to decorate the box…
Hope you liked my box……

Today I’m sharing a bright card which was pretty quick to make…..I like making these kind of cards when I want to try out a colour scheme…..or when I’m totally out of ideas…..which happens a lot more than I like…
The card base is plain green and the top layer is white….on the top layer I have stamped various sizes of circles using purple, green and orange dye inks….I then stamped and die cut a small tag and placed the ‘celebrate’ word die on it and added a ribbon as well….
I have also added two strips of foil cardstock at the top of the card…and a few small rhinestones to decorate the card as well…
Hope you liked this card….

This is a pocket fold card holder made by following the tutorial and instructions on the Inking Idaho blog by Becky Roberts…..here is the link for the Pocket Fold which creates two pockets on the project…one one each side….
You don’t need to do any cutting or gluing to create this pocket..it’s a paper folding technique….all you need is a small circle punch so once you have created the pocket, you can punch at the top and thread the ribbon through to hold both sides together….
I have made two small cards to go inside each of the pockets but you could very easily use individually wrapped tea bags or some other gifts…
Hope you liked this…

Tea is getting fancier these days….and so many flavours too….
This tea bag pouch is very simply an envelope created by using the WRMK 1 2 3 punch board…you just measure the tea bag and look for the correct size envelope measurements on the board…
But since I would like it to be a bit special when I gift it to someone,I have decorated it with a ribbon and string and a few other thing like the butterfly die cut and the stamped banner underneath…
The idea was shared in a very nice tutorial by Sam Hammond(Pootles.co.uk) – Tea Bag Envelope Pouch
I’m quite happy with how my envelope pouch turned out….Hope you liked it too…

Post#156 Shaker Money Pouch using Fuse Tool

Ever since I saw the tutorial for a shaker money holder/pouch by Vicki, it has been on the top of my ‘try to make’ list…..the only thing stopping me was that I didn’t have enough sequins to fill the pouch…so in the end I just couldn’t wait any longer and this is my first ever attempt…I’m sure I will try more of these when I finally am able to buy a big bag of sequins…but here’s the first…
If you click on the link and follow the tutorial video in Vicki’s post, you will understand how easy these pouches/money holders are to create with a fuse tool….
I actually placed the die cut and stamped sentiments inside the pouch, which I later realised that I shouldn’t have…anyways, that was the front of the pouch…..on the back of the pouch I simply stamped with white stazon ink…
To decorate the pouch I have used multi-coloured rhinestones….and to close the pouch at the top I have used a wide ribbon and closed it at the top using a gold string…
Hope you liked this…..

Yesssss…I’m celebrating my 150th post…and I’ve even made a card for myself…Ha ha!!!

The card has a white base and the a white  top layer…all four sides of both layers have been rounded using a corner punch….

On the top layer I have used distress inks and stars stencil to create a background….and stamped a ‘hip hip hooray’ stamp with Grape Soda Ranger Dye Ink….I used a tag die and stamp to create a tag to decorate the card..the top tag also has a die cut word ‘celebrate’….

Thank you so much for visiting my blog…Hope you liked today’s card….

Post#148 DIY Checkered Background Pattern Card

It’s so much fun to create backgrounds for cards yourself….and this one has got to be one of the easiest….and its great because you can choose the colours you’d like to match your embellishments…
I’m sure most of you had one look at the card and knew exactly how the background was made…and just to confirm, I’ll let you know that I made it using a ruler and my Spectrum Noir markers…
I have used glitter adhesive tape in 3 colours to decorate the top layer….I also created a tag by using two Stampin Up! punches and ribbon….the image on the tag is actually a cut out from a piece of vellum paper on which the image was stamped and coloured in….and the sentiment was stamped directly on the tag…

Once the top layer was ready,I adhered it onto a card base made from marble print green cardstock….

I hope you liked this card and the background I created…..
