You & Me Card

Doesn’t it feel great when you plan out a project and it turns out exactly as you had planned..??It happens to a lot of crafters but my projects don’t necessarily follow my plans…at all..ha ha…but this one surprisingly did…
I started with a silver cardstock base and cut watercolour paper to size before colouring it in with Peacock Feather distress ink…the edges are a bit darker than the center but the photo doesn’t show it that well…
I then used silver foil cardstock to die cut a fancy flourish and placed it on the top layer…then I die cut two hearts from vellum and coloured them in with a light marker and used a white gelly roll pen to create a stitched effect on the edges and placed them above the flourish…
On a silver banner,I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and then heat embossed with red embossing powder before placing it above the two vellum hearts…
Finally I decorated the card with small hearts that were die cut from red glitter cardstock using the confetti die by Mama Elephant…
Thanks for stopping by to take a look at my card….Have a lovely & blessed day ahead…!!

Feathers And Watercolour Thank You Card

In today’s card I have used watercolours for the background and have coloured in the die cuts with them as well….
The card base is made from textured lavender cardstock…and the top layer is made from watercolour paper on which I have used three different colours to create the background..once that was dry I have also stamped on it with small stamps and wrapped a silver string around it and adhered it to the card base…
On a separate piece of paper I stamped the feather image three times with Versamark ink and heat embossed them with silver embossing powder….I coloured in the images with watercolours, cut them out and placed them on the card…
Finally I stamped the sentiment on a strip of silver foil cardstock and placed it above the feathers using adhesive foam squares…
Hope you’ll have a wonderful crafty day ahead…Happy crafting…

Post#171 Hearts Embossed Background card

I quite like the card that I’m sharing with you today….It has a few layers and things on it but it’s not too full of stuff…
The base is made from plain dark pink cardstock…..and the top layer is plain white which has been embossed with love hearts embossing folder and then I wrapped around a silver string on it before attaching it to the card base…
I then added a few layers…the first one is a large stitched circle die cut from the same pink cardstock as the card base…the second one is a smaller stitched circle die cut from silver foil cardstock…Then I die cut a red heart and placed the die cut XOXO on it along with a couple of punched hearts…
Hope you liked this card…

Post#93 Sydney Card using Stampers Anonymous Cityscapes Set

This is the stamp I was looking for when I found the Cityscape stamp set…the other four stamps were a bonus…
I saw a video by Jennifer Rzasa last september in which she had used vellum to create a reflection of the Sydney skyline….and I followed her technique to create the frame for this card….you can see  her video by clicking on this LINK
The frame was made using foil cardstock and nesting dies….once the frame was ready I used two different stamps to create the message ‘hello from Australia’ on the vellum section….
Then I simply adhered the frame to the silver glitter card base…
I had a great time making this card…hope you like it as much as I do…

Just as the title suggests…today’s post is a card in a card…..So when you open the first card…it has a pocket inside which holds another card….I like the slight element of surprise in this card…
I kept the base card quite simple in blue base and layers on green on inside and silver foil cardstock  layer on the outside…The front only has a small green label with silver heat embossed sentiment on it…
The inside card is 3″ x 3″ in foil cardstock with two strips of green and blue cardstock on the front…Then I attached a small white tag on which I had stamped and coloured in an image of a little girl…at the back of the tag I attached  a few small banners for decoration…
I hope you liked this card…
