Lawn Fawn Birthday Fairies

I was in the mood to create a bright and cheerful card and thought these cute Lawn Fawn fairies would be just perfect for it…I also used the woodgrain background die for the background panel, on which I applied some oxide inks for a magical look..

I started by die cutting the front panel from white cardstock and then applied the following Distress oxide inks on it – wilted violet, shaded lilac and picked raspberry…I adhered this panel to a plain white card base and set it aside until I had all the other elements ready…

On a separate piece of  bristol smooth cardstock, I stamped all the images using Versafine black ink and the heat embossed them all using some clear embossing powder…I coloured these images using the Zig markers and die cut them using the coordinating dies…
I adhered all the images using some adhesive foam and also added a stamped sentiment strip on my card…to embellish my card I have simply added some tiny gold star sequins..

I Treasure Your Friendship

I love this quote by H.J.Brown – “Remember that most valuable antiques are dear old friends.”….and the card I’m sharing today is for a treasured friend…I have used two adorable fairy images from Penny Black stamps for my card….

I first die cut the front panel from watercolour cardstock using a large cross stitch rectangle die and then did some ink smooshing using the following Distress Oxide ink shades – black soot, seedless preserves, broken china and peacock feathers..
Once dry,I stamped the sentiment on this panel using Versafine onyx black ink and quickly heat embossed it using some clear embossing powder and adhered this panel to a textured sea green coloured card base…

On a separate piece of white cardstock I stamped and coloured in the two fairy images using my Spectrum Noir markers and then carefully cut them out and adhered them to the card front using adhesive foam square…

To embellish my card,I punched out three butterflies from silver glitter cardstock… and added some bright pink adhesive pearls to them before adding them to my card…

Count Your Life By Smiles

Today’s card was another quick one….and the background was not created for it as such….in fact I was just trying out one of the distress mini kits – Kit 4 – to see what the colours were like on paper…they looked great so I went ahead and used it as the top layer for this card…
I have used silver cardstock for the base of this card….I then used the largest stitched rectangle die to die cut the top layer…then using grey ink,I stamped the sentiment on the top layer…
Using silver glitter cardstock and mini scallop dies,I die cut a frame and adhered it around the stamped sentiment…
Finally,on a separate piece of cardstock I stamped, coloured in and cut out the two butterflies and adhered them to the card…
Thank you for stopping by to take a look at my card…Have a blessed day today…!!

Post#171 Hearts Embossed Background card

I quite like the card that I’m sharing with you today….It has a few layers and things on it but it’s not too full of stuff…
The base is made from plain dark pink cardstock…..and the top layer is plain white which has been embossed with love hearts embossing folder and then I wrapped around a silver string on it before attaching it to the card base…
I then added a few layers…the first one is a large stitched circle die cut from the same pink cardstock as the card base…the second one is a smaller stitched circle die cut from silver foil cardstock…Then I die cut a red heart and placed the die cut XOXO on it along with a couple of punched hearts…
Hope you liked this card…
