Special Day Wishes Bright Card

I started this card with the plan that I was going to use a stencil to create a background and then add layers on it….but the stenciled images turned out quite nice so I used the top layer as is….
The card base is bright pink and has an orange mat…the top layer is white and I have used distress inks and  a flower stencil to print this image on it…in the middle of each flower is a tiny punched glitter flower….I have also added two strips of glitter cardstock on one side…
The sentiment is stamped directly on the top layer with orange dye ink…..and I have used dark pink sequins to decorate the card…
It’s a simple card but I think it still looks great…what do you think??

I love how this gift bag turned out so I’m really happy to share this with you today….
I have followed the tutorial by the fabulous Sam Donald and made this gift bag…It’s a huge one and can hold heaps of stuff….Here’s the link for her tutorial – It’s My Party Huge Bag
Now I had to change the top folding part in the video….and that was because Sam has used a double sided paper which looks really pretty when folded out at the top….but I’ve used one sided printed paper and didn’t want the plain white to show outside….so I’ve simply skipped that step, and folded the top part downwards and tied a string around it…
I have used two shades of green cardstock for the front panel….the top panel has a gold heat embossed message….and to decorate the panel I have punched out and adhered three small flowers from peach cardstock…
Hope you like my version of the bag…

Today I’m sharing a very colourful Champagne bottle gift tag…Champagne is still one of the best congratulatory gift that you can give someone and it suits most celebratory occasions as well…..

The base of the tag is plain green and has been scored at 2″ and I have used a 1&1/2” circle die to create a hole that slides over the bottle’s neck….the other end of the tag has been given a crest shape using the WRMK banner punch board…

The top layer is a panel of beautiful and bright printed glitter cardstock…..and the sentiment is stamped on a cut out from the same cardstock pack….and layered with a green and a gold cardstock layer…there are a couple of small punched gold flower embellishments…and three printed banners as well….

Hope you liked it…

Gift bags are so much fun to make and quite uncomplicated too….they can be simple or quite heavily decorated…whatever you like…if you need inspiration then Pinterest is the best place for you…
To create this gift bag I used a sheet of scrapbooking paper…and mainly kept it simple…other than using a scalloped border punch for the flap…which I sponged with brown ink as well…a ribbon tied up into a bow at the front keeps the bag closed….it also makes the bag easy to open…
I stamped the sentiment and punched it out using an oval punch and another larger one to layer it…also added a few punched out flowers…
I hope you like this bag…

I am quite excited to share today’s creation with you…..It’s my very own creation using the Tag Topper Punch….I have been making hook earrings for a long time now…..I love wearing them as well as making them…so this time when I made a few sets I sat down to think about how to create packaging for these earrings…
One look at the tag punch and I had my answer….I cut out long 2″ strips of gold and silver cardtstock and punched on one end of the strips….I folded the top flap down…..then I decided how tall/long I wanted these pouches and scored and folded the base….I also scored another 1/4″ from the base score line so that there of a bit of room for the earrings…
These pouches now needed something for the earrings to hook onto…one option was to punch two holes but that meant the hooks would be visible from the back of the pouch and wouldn’t look nice…so I decided to adhere a strip of cardstock on the inside of the pouch which would easily provide the base to hang the hooks onto…
I added a few punched flowers on the front….and finally I threaded a ribbon through to close the pouch….
I’m really hoping you liked my creation…..

One of my favourite ways to use distress inks is to use them on an embossing folder and spraying with a bit of water to create a kind of bright watercolour effect…you really can’t go wrong with this technique…
After embossing I let the paper dry and then cut it into 3 long strips and added them to an orange cardstock base and adhered them to the blue card base…
Then using the same blue cardstock I die cut a  hi word and a hexagon shape around the word…I used the negative die  section by attaching a silver paper at the back…a few punched flowers were added for decoration and the card was ready…
Hope you liked it.

My daughters and I have enjoyed making fringe cards….they are fun to make and the end result is always beautiful….but this time I wanted to try this technique on a tag…
I used two strips each of 3 different shades of pink….the topmost layer has to be a bit wider than the rest  to leave some space for  punching a hole for the ribbon….cut all these strips three quarters of the way to the top with fringe scissors…then attach these layers onto the die cut tag base starting from the bottom layer upwards…The sentiment was attached with a few mounting foam squares…
Hope you liked it.

I have made this gift box quite a number of times….And everyone I’ve given this to has been very happy to receive it….I’m a tea person and I know a lot of people who love a good cup of tea….and this is just a perfect small gift to say thank you or hello….
This box has 4 individual envelopes and each one holds one tea bag…And while this was originally designed for tea bags,I feel it can easily hold small gifts like chocolate, stickers or simple stud earrings and other such things…
I have followed instructions and dimensions shared by Sam Donald on her website and here’s the link in case you’d like to try this out yourself….
Hope you liked it.

Post#25 Match Box Style Small Gift Box

Sometimes we just don’t know how to wrap a small present…..the shops usually hand things to us in a standard bag and tissue paper packaging which is often too big for the item itself…And for this very reason I like this match box style gift box…
The slide out part of the box is very easy to make using the envelope punch board…the outer layer is simply scored to fit around that …and then to decorate I put on an adhesive printed tape around the box lid….added a couple of die cut feathers and punched flowers….and the box was ready…
Hope you liked it.
