Easter Cuties

These Easter Party cuties by Lawn Fawn are simply adorable so it took no time at all to create these Easter cards…

For my first card I adhered three die cut frames from Mini Picture Frames by Lawn Fawn using white cardstock and adhered them to the front panel…I then placed the coloured in cuties on the frame and added the sentiment banner…the sentiment if from a Heffy Doodle stamp set called Special Day Sentiment..

For my second card, I used a rectangle stencil to create a background for the little cuties and then added a die cut scalloped border on the front panel….I stamped the sentiment and adhered the images to the card front..

Thank you for stopping by my blog today…I hope you are healthy and well and taking good care of yourselves…stay blessed..

PS Woofers And Tweeters – Bright and Wonderful Card

I was looking for a cute stamp and found the Paper Smooches Woofers And Tweeters stamp set…and once I started creating,I loved the results and kept going…..So I ended up making 6 cards in one go using the same stamps and will be sharing those from today onward…
The card base is plain grey and the first mat layer is a black DSP with white tiny polka dot print….the next layer is plain black and I have heat embossed the sentiment on it using silver heat embossing powder…
I then cut a wide strip of light blue check print DSP and used the stitched scallop border die on one side of the strip…I stamped the cute dog images on three white square pieces of cardstock, coloured them in and placed them on the top of printed blue strip…
Since I wanted the images to be the main focus of the card,i decided not to use any embellishments on this card…

Happy Birthday Shaker Card

I love creating shaker pockets for cards, bookmarks or tags….and today I’ve tried out a shaped shaker pocket for a card front…this time I’ve tried to be very neat so that I don’t have to cover up the edges with a frame or embellishments…which also means that this card is not bulky at all and can be posted as standard post…
I started with a bright pink card base and a bright green top layer….I then created the shaker pocket using the fuse tool and a photo sleeve pocket which I filled up with lots of bright sequins before sealing it at the top…
I then attached the fuse pocket to the top of the card and added a scalloped border strip from pink foil cardstock over it…I used the same foil card stock to punch out a circle for the stamped sentiment as well as the die cut scripty ‘Happy Birthday’ word and placed these on the card..
Just realised that I did not add the dot on the ‘i’ from the die cut….also known as a ‘tittle’….I’ll add it now but there is no time to re-shoot… 🙂
Hope you liked this card…

When it comes to using black cardstock for making cards,I have to really think hard to come up with a design which doesn’t use any stamping at all….coz for me,no matter how much effort I put in…as soon as I stamp on black cardstock,it never works…but I’m not going to stop using black….
On a plain black cardstock base I have used a black top layer as well and rounded only two ends of the card…I then used a stitched scalloped border die to die cut strips in various colours and adhered them to the card….I added a strip of gold glitter cardstock at the top….
The sentiment is a wood veneer word which has been glued to the card….and I have used a few black sequins as embellishments….
Hope you liked this card…
