Gold Embossed Congratulations Card

One of my crafty resolutions for this year is to practice and get better at heat embossing…so every now and then I keep reminding myself about it…and today I patiently sat down to create this card which not only has heat embossing but also a lot of masking as you can see that quite a few of the images are overlapped…

I started with a watercolour cardstock panel and created a few masks for the flowers that were overlapping on my design layout…I then did my stamping and heat embossed the flower outline images using gold embossing powder…I also embossed a few flowers on vellum paper and coloured them pink and kept them aside to use later…
I then cut this design into two pieces and adhered a pink strip of gold embossed sentiment in the middle…to get this panel to for the card front,I simply ran it through my Cuttlebug using a stitched rectangle die..
Finally I used some Distress inks to watercolour the white areas above and below the embossed flowers…I used mermaid lagoon, peacock feather and cracked pistachio Distress ink shades mixed with a bit of water…once dry,I adhered this panel to the front of a plain white card and adhered the pink vellum flowers as well..

Unicorn In The Clouds – Birthday Card

For today’s card,I decided to use soft colours to give it a bit of a magical look…I also wanted to use Vellum for the clouds and am very happy with how that turned out..

I started with a white card base with a white die cut top layer as well…then using Distress Oxide inks mixed with water and smooshed and splattered them onto the top layer very lightly to create the background…I have used cracked pistachio, worn lipstick and broken china shades of Distress Oxide inks here…
Using the clouds border dies and some vellum paper,I die cut three pieces and sponged the edges with blue ink and them layered them onto the top layer….

On a separate piece of white cardstock I stamped the unicorn image using black Versafine pigment ink and heat embossed it using clear embossing powder and then coloured it in and cut it out..I also went over the coloured image with my Spectrum Noir sparkle pen so it look even more magical and adhered it to the card front using craft foam…

I stamped the sentiment on the top right using black ink and adhered a few small purple coloured star sequins to embellish my card..

Here’s a close up shot of the Unicorn and the vellum clouds..

Altenew Garden Hydrangeas – Just For You

After making a pop-up card with the Altenew Garden Hydrangeas stamp set,I decided to make a couple more…the first card I made today turned out almost as planned but the second one I’m not too sure about…although I still like it and it looks good but I feel it’s missing something….anyways,I just love this Hydrangeas stamp set….

For my first card,I chose a lavender coloured textured cardstock to make the card base as well as the top layer…I embossed the top layer using Seeing Spots embossing folder and then lightly sponged in some shaded lilac distress ink…
On a separate piece of cardstock,I stamped the outline stamp of the flowers and a few of the leaves and coloured them in using watercolour pencils and a water brush…once dry,I placed them on the card…
The sentiment has been stamped on a strip of lavender cardstock and I have placed it above another light blue banner using craft foam..

For my second card I chose a bright green card base and a plain white top layer….on this top layer,I stamped the base stamp layer of the Garden Hydrangeas layering stamp set using blue dye ink and a couple of green leaves as well…
I then cut a piece of vellum as bit larger than the top layer and then using my mini Misti and watermark ink,I stamped the top layer of the Hydrangeas and leaves and quickly heat embossed it using silver embossing powder….I then placed this layer above the white stamped top layer and tucked the excess paper behind it….I have not used any adhesive for the vellum layer,I simply used silver string and wrapped that around…
I die cut the word happy from silver glitter cardstock and stamped the word birthday on a silver strip of card and adhered these to the card…and finally to embellish the card I have used a few blue sequins…

Easter Bunnies

I didn’t have any Easter themed stamps so wasn’t planning on making Easter cards this year…but then I saw my MFT Somebunny stamp set and an idea started to form…I got stuck again when I needed a larger sentiment than I had for this card…and that’s where alphabet stamps came handy….and here’s the card…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

On a plain white card base I have used a yellow top layer…I stamped the sentiment right in the middle of this layer using a combination of a small word stamp and alphabet stamps….I then added the next layer above it which has been made from Vellum cut to the same size as the top layer and embossed using the quilted embossing folder….

Next,I die cut a rectangular frame from white cardstock and adhered it to the card…I also adhered tiny blue sequins on the Vellum in the area within this rectangle..

After that I stamped the cute bunnies and carrots on a separate piece of cardstock, coloured them in using watercolour pencils and my Dove blender pen and cut them out before placing them on the card…

Here’s a closer look at the how the bunny images turned out…

It’s Your Day

I wanted to make a cute card using the Seamus stamp set by Jane’s Doodles..the sheep images in this stamp set are super cute and so easy to colour in…
I started with a plain white card base and a white top layer…then using the Avery Elle double pierced rectangle die set,I die cut two sections in the middle and embossed the edge of the top layer….and since I didn’t want to add bulk but still add a bit of texture in the space that shows behind the die cut area – I embossed a piece of vellum paper and adhered it to the back of the top layer…
I stamped and coloured in the sheep images and carefully cut them out and placed them on the card…and finally I stamped the sentiment and my card was ready…
I’m glad you stopped by to take a look at my card….Hope you will have a beautiful day today…!!

Happy Halloween!!

Wishing you a fun filled Halloween with lots of magical surprises…!!
May you get lots of treats that are yummy to eat…!!
Today I’m sharing my very first Halloween card…it’s quite simple since I did not have many supplies  for one but I guess I had to start somewhere…
The card base is plain black and instead of a single top layer I have used two orange mats….on the bottom section I have used a grey cardstock and stamped the tree and adhered googly eyes on them and created a couple of spiders with those as well…
On the top mat I have used a different shade of orange and stamped the sentiment on it…I have adhered two more of the googly eyes here…
Finally I stamped a few monsters from the Lawn Fawn monster mash stamp set onto a piece of vellum and cut them out before adding them to my card…
Thanks for stopping by today…..HAPPY HALLOWEEN…..!!

Mirror Stamping

Over the years I have tried out mirror stamping technique so many times but it never worked for me before….maybe I wasn’t using the right ink or not doing something the right way…and it was frustrating because sometimes you just want something stamped facing the other way for the card to make sense….and this is one more quality of the MISTI stamping tool that it lets you do the mirror stamping so easily…
I have followed this tutorial by Jennifer McGuire for mirror stamping the giraffe image on my card –  Mirror stamping tutorial
The card base for my card is plain brown and the top layer has been die cut using a stitched rectangle die…I then used distress inks in various shades of green to create the background on the top layer…..
On a smaller die cut Vellum panel,I stamped a large heart image and the sentiment using Versamark ink and heat embossed it using red embossing powder…
I glued four white rhinestones on the vellum panel…that hid the glue dots that I have used to secure the panel on the top layer…lastly,I placed the two giraffe images and a little gold heart on the red heat embossed heart and the card was ready…

Two cards Using Kraft Cardstock

One of the lovely and talented bloggers I religiously follow is Vicki and I love all her creations….a little while back she had created a cute piggy card with a stamped kraft card top layer and to enhance the stamped images, she drew a border around them using a white gel pen….making the stamped images stand out a bit….and I really loved the technique and had planned to try it out myself…
Here is the link to Vicki’s lovely creation that inspired me to create this card – Squeal,Oink,Hello!
On a white card base I used a kraft top layer on which I stamped the flowers and leaves from the Flower Heads stamp set and coloured them in…I then used a gel pen to create a border around the images…I didn’t do too well this time but I think I’ll do a better job when I use this technique again..
I die cut a few leaves and a little birdie image and placed them below the gold banner with the sentiment on it…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade Card by PriCreated

So while I had the kraft cardstock out,I decided to create a quick card….this time I used it to create the card base….the top layer is die cut from vellum using a stitched rectangle die…I then stamped the little dandelion images on the vellum using white pigment ink to create a background…

The sentiment is half stamped and half die cut and I have used white rhinestones on all four corners to embellish the card as well as conceal the glue dots I used to adhere the vellum to the card base….

Bright Cards

It’s spring now….my favorite season….there are new leaves on the trees and the flowers are starting to bloom everywhere….and the days are longer…and it’s bright and sunshiny on most days…and with a bit of inspiration from the weather,I made a couple of bright cards that I’m sharing with you today…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade Card by PriCreated

For the first card,I chose a bright orange card base….on the white top layer, I randomly stamped the dotted squares stamps in various sizes using Versamark ink and heat embossed it using gold embossing powder….I then used bright Peerless watercolors to colour them in….

Once the top layer was dry,I adhered a vellum paper layer above it by wrapping a gold string around it…I then stamped and die cut a frame and stamped in the sentiment as well and placed it on the vellum layer…I also die cut a few sequins from gold foil and orange cardstock to embellish the card…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade Card by PriCreated

For my second card I chose a plain yellow card base….then,on a plain white top to layer,I stamped the clouds, sun, sentiment and little hearts and adhered it on one side of the card…I also adhered a couple of thin strips from blue glitter cardstock and orange foil cardstock onto the card…
