Cute Anniversary Card

I wanted to make an anniversary card and picked out the Wplus9 Garden Buddies stamp set for it…I  really like the images in this set and was surprised that I haven’t made an anniversary card with this set yet…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I started by sponging some Distress Inks to cover up the top panel…I used wilted violet, broken china and blueprint sketch shades here…I splattered some water for effect and then used the Memory Box star stencil and some white pigment ink to print the star pattern…I then adhered this panel to a white card base…

I die cut the word ‘happy’ from purple glitter cardstock as well as white cardstock and layered them before adhering them onto the card front…I stamped and heat embossed the word happy on a small strip of purple cardstock and adhered it to the die cut word…

On a separate piece of white cardstock,I stamped and coloured in the girl and boy images and then cut them out and placed them on the card..I also stamped and heat embossed another sentiment below these images…

And finally to embellish my card I have used a few rhinestones in various sizes…

Bird & Butterflies- Scrapbook Boutique August Challenge

As soon as I saw the moodboard for this month’s challenge at the Scrapbook Boutique blog,I went through all my stamps..didn’t find anything I liked at first…a weird umbrella stamp from ages ago, small or odd looking bird stamps and no shoes stamps at all…got quite a few ideas that didn’t work…but I kept going and here are the cards that I created for this challenge…

For my first card I chose a light grey textured cardstock for a top folding card base…I stamped the big top stamp twice on a white panel using cool graphite dye ink and then layered it with a dark grey cardstock..I added some craft foam under the top panel before adhering it to the card base…

On a separate piece of white cardstock,I stamped the large butterfly using squeezed lemonade Distress Ink..I also stamped another butterfly using Versamark ink on Vellum and heat embossed it using silver embossing powder..I cut both butterflies out, layered them and placed them on the card front…

To make sure that the punched out butterflies are the same colour as the main butterfly,I stamped a mirror stamp using the same ink onto a scrap piece of cardstock and the punched the butterflies…I adhered morning dew Nuvo drops as embellishments on these butterflies…

I stamped the sentiment on a light grey banner using the same grey ink as the front panel and adhered it to the card front using some craft foam…

I made this second card before the butterflies card and when I was putting it together,I made a bit of a mistake on it…had a mind blank moment so I set it aside till I could fix it and started on another card…I blame it on the flu that I’ve just been gifted by my elder daughter.. 😦

I first die cut a white top layer using large cross stitched rectangle die and stamped the bird image using buttered popcorn Ranger dye ink….I re-stamped it on my Mini Misti using Versamark ink and heat embossed it with a pearl embossing powder…

I masked the image and used a cloud stencil and Distress Inks to print the clouds all over the front panel..I used hickory smoke and weathered wood shades here..I also splaterred a bit of grey ink all over…

I stamped the sentiment on a white strip and layered it with a grey glitter cardstock…added some black craft foam underneath it before adhering it to the card front…I also stamped a few red hearts above the sentiment…

I had already fixed and re-stamped the sentiment two times and something or the other went wrong..and had glued this one onto the card when I saw a small red dot on it…it didn’t come off with the sand eraser so I just went ahead and added the rhinestones and finished my card…I think I will re-do the sentiment label once I’m feeling a bit better..

Thank you for stopping by my blog today…Have a lovely & blessed day ahead….Happy crafting…!!

Cute Buddies Birthday Card

So this year I have planned to work a bit more on my colouring in…I am trying to learn as much as I can from watching tutorial videos by various cardmakers and practicing what I learn…for years I tried using aqua brushes for colouring in images with watercolour pencils etc. but I just couldn’t get a hang of it…so I finally got myself a Dove blender pen just to see is that would make it a bit easy for me…and luckily…it did..!!
For today’s card I chose a plain white card base and stamped the little confetti stamps all over the front using various coloured dye inks….I then used the largest cross stitched rectangle die to emboss the edges of the card…
On a separate die cut panel,I stamped the little boy and girls and coloured them in using Derwent inktense pencils and my Dove blender pen…I then used Peerless watercolours to paint the background….once the panel was dry,I stamped the sentiment and adhered some craft foam behind it before adding it to the card base….
Thanks for visiting my blog today…Have a lovely & blessed day ahead….Happy crafting…!!

Say It With Flowers – Two Cards

Today I am sharing two cards….The first one is a simple thank you card with a lacy background and the second one has a very bright and colourful background….the one thing that both these cards have in common is that I have used border stamps to create the background…
For the first card I chose a dark pink card base and a white top layer….using a slate coloured ink I stamped the border image at the top and the bottom of the white top layer….the MISTI came in very handy at this point as I could easily re-stamp to cover any areas that got missed…
Using the same ink,I stamped the sentiment in the middle….then on a separate piece of cardstock I stamped the flowers using pink distress ink and the leaves using green…I sponged in the flowers and leaves with the same distress inks that I stamped them with…I cute these out and placed them on the card…
I have used a few pink sequins to embellish this card…

My second card has a light mustard coloured card base and a bright yellow mat layer….the top layer is plain white and I have created a background using Clearly Besotted Basic Stripes stamp set and various colours of bright dye inks..

On a separate piece of cardstock I stamped the mason jar and flowers, coloured them in using Peerless watercolors and die cut them using the coordinating dies…I then placed these on the top layer…

I have stamped the sentiment on a strip of cardstock and placed it on the mason jar….and to embellish the card I have used blue sequins…

Bright Birthday Shaker Card

I finally found a big pack of craft foam sheets at a craft store and the first thing I created using a foam sheet was a shaker card….I have made many shaker cards before using shaker pockets or layers of cardstock frames…using foam makes it a bit bulky but I feel that the shaker effect is the best as the sequins get a bit of a room to move around…and shake..!!.  🙂  🙂
Starting with a black cardstock base,I used a stitched rectangle die to create the top layer using watercolor cardstock…then after using a few shades of yellow and orange distress inks on the top layer,I spritzed the weave embossing folder with water and used it to stamp on the top layer…
I die cut a frame for the shaker element using a mini scallop rectangle die and yellow cardstock and a smaller rectangle frame using black foam….I placed the acrylic sheet between the foam and the frame and then put in a mix of sequins and stars….then I cut a black cardstock panel for the shaker backing…I attach a fairy to the black cardstock panel before closing the shaker with it…
Once the shaker was adhered to the top layer,I attached an orange banner with the sentiment heat embossed with white heat embossing powder…I also coloured in and cut out an image of a cute little boy and adhered it to the shaker….
I’m so glad you stopped by to take a look at my card today….Hope you will have a beautiful day ahead…!!

For the first card,I have used a white card base and used distress inks to create the background on watercolor paper…the watercolor paper has been die cut using a stitched rectangle die…

On a separate piece of white cardstock,I stamped, coloured in and cut out the little gardener as well as the picket fence and the potted flowers..once these were placed on the top layer,I stamped the sentiment directly onto the card..

For the second card,I used a white card base as well and created the top layer similarly using distress inks…I coloured in and cut out two little girl images for this card and placed them above a few strips of silver foil cardstock….I then stamped the sentiment directly onto the top layer and added a few tiny hearts on it..
