Many Thank Ewes

Aren’t these little sheep/ewes absolutely adorable??They are from the MFT stamp set called Ewe And Me Forever….I was going to make this a love theme card as well but changed my mind and made it a thank you card instead… 🙂

Firstly,I created the background on the front panel using Distress Oxide inks….I used peacock feather, cracked pistachio and salty ocean shades here…I then embossed this panel using a geometric WRMK next level embossing folder…and finally I applied some Nuvo gold mousse mixed with a bit of water on this panel with a wide paint brush…I also splattered some of it on the panel and once dry,I adhered this panel to a plain white card base…

On a separate piece of white cardstock,I stamped the three ewes and coloured them in using Gansai Tambi watercolours…I die cut them with the coordinating dies and also die cut some trees to create the scene on my card…

I didn’t want to cover the background panel with a hill style panel for the sheep and I still wanted the sheep and the trees to be ‘on’ something rather than just simply stuck onto my card….so,I used a scalloped edge die as well as a stitched edge die of the same curvy shape and die cut a thin strip from gold foil cardstock and once it was adhered to my card front,I added all the threes and two of the sheep die cuts…

I stamped the sentiment on a small label that I had die cut from gold foil cardstock as well and then added the third ewe just above it…and finally, embellish my card I have simply added some gold Nuvo drops…

You Inspire Me

I was so happy when Clearly Besotted stamps re-opened a few months ago…I love their stamps and I hadn’t tried any of their flower stamps yet…so I got this one with the poppies and a few sentiments..

I started with a top folding white card base and a white top layer as well…I then sponged in a few shades of green Distress Inks to cover this top layer…I have used forest moss, mowed lawn and twisted citron here…and before adhering this top layer to the card base,I embossed it using WRMK next level embossing folder…
On a separate piece of white cardstock – as wide as the card base – I stamped the poppy flowers image but that didn’t cover the width of the card so I masked the center image and stamped more flowers…
Now colouring these images was made slightly easy by the fact that one of the Derwent Inktense pencil shade is called Poppy Red…it is actually quite bright but I used just a bit of it to colour in the flowers and buds…

I carefully cut out the top part of this panel and adhered it to the card front using some craft foam in between…I stamped the sentiment label and adhered it as well..

To embellish my card I have used Nuvo drops as well as a gold string at the top…here is a close up shot of the poppies…

White Ink On Kraft – Thanks Card

The card I’m sharing today is a simple Thanks card…I keep thinking of ways for using Kraft cardstock with coloured cardstock…and for this one I chose a pink theme…
I started with a light pink card base and a kraft cardstock top layer…using white pigment ink and a large swirly pattern stamp on the kraft top layer – sorry this stamp set was unbranded so I don’t know the name or manufacturer – I repeat stamped the image to create the background…
I then die cut a small section for the top of the card using white cardstock and a stitched scalloped edge die..I also embossed this section and used seedless preserves distress ink lightly to  enhance the embossing…I placed the die cut sentiment ‘thanks’ using pink glitter cardstock and placed it along the edge of this section…
Once the top layer was ready and placed onto the card base,I used Rhubarb Crumble Nuvo crystal drops to embellish this card…
Thank you for taking the time and visiting my blog today…Have a wonderful day ahead…!!

Happy NEW YEAR 2017

So another year is history and a new year has arrived…Wishing you and your family & friends a very happy and prosperous 2017…!!
Today I’m sharing two cards…I wanted bright and blingy and something fun to welcome the new year..so I made one very large card using gold foil cardstock and the WRMK alphabet punch board and a smaller shaker card using lots of glitter cardstock…
My first card has a printed cardstock base with a bit of glitter which is 11″x 4″ when folded….I then punched out the four numbers using gold foil cardstock and the alphabet punch board…I also ran these numbers through my Cuttlebug using a WRMK next level embossing folder before adhering them to the card base…
Then all I had to do was to die cut the word ‘happy’ using pink cardstock, apply a bit of glossy accents and adhere it above the numbers and my card was ready…

My second card is a small but a very very glittery shaker card…I die cut the card base using blue glitter cardstock and the largest die from a nesting die set called Lorrianes flower…I then die cut a circle using gold glitter cardstock as a sort of top layer for this card…

Using the second largest die from the same die set,I die cut the base of the shaker element using brown glitter cardstock…I die cut a lot of circle frames using white cardstock and layered them together to make the shaker ‘well’…in between one of these circle frames I attached a strip of acetate and adhered die cut numbers 2017 on it…this really helps in keeping the numbers visible as most sequins can freely move under that acetate strip and not hide them…

I filled in colourful star sequins and closed the shaker with a die cut acetate circle…I die cut another circle frame for the top of the shaker using brown glitter cardstock…

Holiday Wishes

There are so many cute and beautiful Christmas stamp sets by popular stamp brands every year that it gets really hard to choose….especially because most Christmas stamp sets can only be used for the holiday season…so I don’t buy too many…but what I like doing is to use various stamp sets and convert them into Christmas images like I did for today’s card…
The card base is plain white and I have used a much smaller white top layer for it…I sponged in some distress inks for the background and then ran the top layer through my Cuttlebug using the WRMK next level geometric embossing folder…
On a separate piece of cardstock I stamped the banner twice – once using red ink and againusing green…I cut them out and placed them on the card…I also stamped and coloured in a little critter and cut it out…to make the critter look Christmassy,I used an elf hat from another stamp set and and adhered it to his head before placing him on the card…
I have used red sequins and some rhinestones to embellish this card…
I’m so glad you stopped by my blog to take a look at my card….Hope you will have a beautiful day ahead…!!

Poinsettia Christmas Card

Participating in a Christmas themed blog challenge a few weeks ago has got me really excited about creating holiday cards and tags…I will be sharing all my Christmas creations on my blog from now until the 25th…

Today I’m sharing quite a simple card with not much colours…but still quite festive….The card base is plain olive and so is the top layer….I ran the top layer thought my Cuttlebug using the latest WRMK next level geometric embossing folder…I love how these embossing folders give a very lovely 3D effect…

I die cut the Merry Christmas word using white cardstock and placed it on the card…..then using red dye ink and a large poinsettia stamp,I stamped the image on white cardstock and cut it out before placing it on the card as well…

To embellish the card I have used a few red sequins in various sizes…
Thanks for visiting  my blog today…Happy crafting…!!
